You can really salt it up and it's not overwhelming, it's very flavorful! I love that it's a very clean salt, no preservatives, heavy metals or additives, etc.

I feel like in the past three years, my cooking skills have improved dramatically. Where dinners used to be hit or miss, they are mostly spectacular now. Steak? Better than our best local steakhouse. Chicken? Cooked perfectly with tons of flavor? Fish? I still don't like it. :)

When I started really thinking about this, I realized that three years ago was about the first time I bought Diamond Kosher salt. This is the single most important ingredient you will cook with. Seriously - it is that important to good food. Before Diamond, I tried sea salt. I tried Morton Kosher. I obviously tried table salt. Nothing allowed me to clearly gauge if I'd salted a dish correctly. As you're aware by buying this product, salt literally is flavor. Without it, dishes are flat and bland at best.

Diamond kosher is different because it allows you to easily and clearly see what you've salted without being too salty. I feel like I'd have to frankly try to oversalt something for Diamond Kosher to be too salty. Instead, every dish is perfectly salted. Everything tastes better - from meats to veggies to eggs to whatever. I literally purchased a salt dish simply for this because I use it so frequently when cooking. Buy it, and you'll be a convert. I can't imagine wanting to purchase salt and not liking Diamond Kosher.

Highly recommended, if you can't tell.

I ordered along with glass items and bc of way Amazon packaged it, one broke and ruined my salt. They wouldn’t replace bc it was non returnable. I understand that, I have a picture of damage. But can’t reach customer service at all! They just put several glass bottles side by side with a little paper wrapping on top. Of course it would break. But in the salt product. I won’t buy any other. Perfect size and texture of kosher salt.

This is the best salt. I love that it's a delicate salty flavor. You can put it on your tongue and not get that salt burn table salt gives. I can easily control the salt level in my food. And it's great sprinkled on at the end of cooking. Even great on baked goods as a finishing salt. Just wish they would sell this in stores.

I heard that professional chefs like to use this salt in their kitchens because the granules are hollow and makes it easier to not over salt your dishes. I have used this to cook many dishes and when I think I might have used too much, I find that I could actually add a little more if I wanted to. This is a very large box and will last a long time so it’s easier to justify the price, but I wouldn’t want to pay more than what is listed. I have not seen this in any stores around me so I was very happy to find it on here.

So I don't store my salt in a separate container than what it comes in. Unfortunately, this box has a tendency to leak out the sides when you try to use it. I'm not going to have much of a choice but to switch it over to a jar which is not a big deal. I just prefer not to use jars in my cabinets. As far as the salt goes, I'm a big fan. It has about the exact texture that I like, which is a little bit closer than a lot of the table salts you see but without being oversized. It has that clean salt taste to it. Sometimes I find salt has a bit of a metallic taste and this does not. So long story short this would be a five star if it came in a different container.

This is excellent quality. As seen in the series "Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat" and after that, I have seen it in all the fine kitchens on TV or real life. This is what the chefs use. While I am not perfect cook or baker, I can do all right and I want the best ingredients in the kitchen, so Diamond Crystal Kosher Salt is always in stock and in use here.
