Amazon was out of stock for the new AT2035 at the time I wanted to buy one and since I'm the most impatient and impulsive person on the face of the planet, I went with this renewed model. It saved me only $8 but I was able to get it next day instead of a week from now lol. It came yesterday and I'm pleased as can be with it! There isn't one thing about it that would lead anyone to believe it is anything other than brand new. Works perfectly and looks perfect. Of course I only get the 90 day replacement warranty or whatever but I'm thinking that isn't even going to be an issue of concern.
I'm using it stationary at my desk so it won't see any abuse or heavy action. As of now, I expect it will last many years into the future. The sound is a huge improvement over the Yeti Nano that it replaced. I'm using it for streaming and youtube content with a Focusrite Scarlett Solo and as of this moment, I couldn't be more pleased. The Yeti Nano that I've been using for the past year was a great mic to get me going and I can't complain one bit about it. At the same time though, I'm very happy with the upgrade to this AT2035.
I know many people have worries about buying renewed or refurbished electronics and maybe for good reason, if they've had negative experience doing so. Personally, I've bought many things over the years that were refurbished/renewed and so far I've had great experiences every time. I highly recommend this mic for anyone wanting to get great sound on a budget. To repeat, this being a renewed product seems so far to be every bit as good as a brand new item.
