5.0 out of 5 stars No wires needed

I liked the design so much, I bought a second one plus another one with a Apple lightning jack. It's not meant to fully charge a phone, but provides enough of a charge to keep the phone usable until you get to your main charger. Compact enough to fit in a pocket and best of all it has a built in USB-C or Apple lightning jack so no need to carry wires with you. As with all Anker products, this looks well built with the jack flipping out of the way when not in use. It also charges the phone quickly with a 15W output (measured on my Motorola 5G phone). Note that the power bank can get a little warm while charging, enough that you probably won't put it in a pocket next to you skin while it is charging a phone.

It can recharge either with the USB-C port on the side OR via the same jack used for charging your device, which is really handy (again no wires required to charge the power bank when using the built-in jack). The one with the lightning jack can only be charged via the USB-C port and therefore would require a wire to recharge.

Highly recommended.

Literally don’t hesitate! Buy this immediately! It is the most convenient thing to use when you travel! My sister found this and I immediately had to order one. It fits in my small travel purse and will recharge my phone one full-time. I currently have the newest iPhone for reference. Seriously order this. It’s so compact and is the most convenient thing to use when you’re on the go to keep your phone charged. No cords needed!

4.0 out of 5 stars Quirky but useful

For the low price, this is a useful power bank. It's small enough to be carried in a pocket or tote, and it carries a good size charge, enough to charge my cellphone more than once. It delivers at a reasonably high speed; the phone charged in an hour. It's not too awkward to use the cellphone with the Power Bank still attached and charging.

Oddly, this Power Bank would not charge out of the box when connected to a USB-C port on my laptop. It did recharge when connected to a power outlet. Maybe it thought the laptop needed a charge....

I was so happy to find a charger that is not bulky and does not require a cord. I travel, and I take lots of pictures. This gives me a charge until I can get back to the car or where I am staying. It’s never let me down, and I always have battery charge to spare. What took so long to come up with this idea? LOL. Keep in mind it can take several hours to recharge. That is common with a battery pack.

I have had a phenomenal time using this power bank, specifically using its pass through feature to charge my earbuds as well as the power bank on a single type c cable. 5000mah is enough to get a iPhone 15 Pro MAX from 0 to 100% battery.

I have used it while having my phone tucked away in my pocket, it can get a tad warm, but mind the side of the hinge, especially if you are at the gym or at work and do a lot of bending. You don't want to risk damaging the folding hinge.
My biggest pain point with using this portable charger is in with the spacing of the hinge relative to the rest of the body. The USB-C connector on the body stick out from the rounded body of the charger, making it prone to damaging things perhaps in a purse, and presents an unnecessary risk to the connector.

There is also the issue of using the device on a flat surface. Its no ones fault when phones and their cases come in all shapes and sizes, and is something i never considered until using a power bank with a built-in usb. When in use, you may find that the device does not sit flush on either side of the hinge. Or when you prop your phone on its side using a stand to watch a video, the bank may be too large, giving you an unwanted tilt, or in worse cases is thinner than your device and hangs freely placing stress on the charging port of your device and the connector of the bank. I started to bring in dish cloth and folding it up to prop my phone while charging. Even a small amount of height and padding does wonders to alleviate all my issues with charging on a flat surface.

All in all, having this power bank has made me keenly more aware of product designs and how they would interact with my own devices. I routinely use this everyday for work using the built in port. Going 4 months of almost daily use and have had no issues with the device. 11/10 for being one of the only portable charges of this profile with a hinge, massive props to the anker product development team.

Very small and sleek when on the go works well and holds a decent charge amount.

12/9 Anker reached out and replaced my charger, so we will give it another shot! Added a star because their customer service is lovely and prompt.

The idea of this charger is fantastic. The function of this charger is terrible. It was fully charged, I plugged it into my phone and set it on my bed side table. I woke up the next morning to a 53% charge and the charger almost dead. That was only about a 30% charge. I wish I had returned it. I'm used to better quality from Anker.
