5.0 out of 5 stars I love this watch!

This watch has been great in my weight loss And exercise journey. I needed a Watch that could multitask while still working properly and this watch has done that. The app that works with the watch is amazing and makes tracking exercise really easy and has some great features. For the price, it is a really good buy, and I purchased a refurbished one and it has been working just fine. battery life is holding up just fine. The appearance is just like new and I was even able to find some different cute bands that fit the watch which I also purchased on Amazon.

I'm so happy with this watch! Compared to more expensive brands this one is a better bang for the buck! I have used it on the treadmill more times than I can count, and it actually works based off of my steps, and truly functions in the treadmill. I did 5 hours of swimming with the kids and it worked flawlessly in the water and tracked everything! I went to my usual out door running spot a few days ago, and I live in the country so my watches are never accurate because they lose signal or whatever, this watch tracked my route PERFECTLY with out a flaw or a glitch! Hands down the best fitness watch I have ever owned! Pretty easy to figure out, and operate, and tons of great functions provided! And the battery life is pretty freaking impressive, as well as I just throw it on charge while I'm in the shower and it charges so quickly! So not a lot of down time to allow it to charge!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good budget smart watch

I purchased a refurbished Bip U Pro as a budget option after my beloved Garmin became unusable and dissatisfaction with a FitBit model.

One of the things I like about this watch is the clarity of the screen and the large font. As a woman of a certain age, it is awfully hard to read some of the digital watches without wearing my glasses. The Bip U Pro is indeed readable, no matter the number of items on the screen, which I appreciate, since I do not like to wear my glasses while working out.

Overall, I am happy with my purchase and would recommend it for the "I'm curious about my stats but my life isn't based on the accuracy" type of user, like me. I use this to track the number of workouts, heart rate ranges and steps/distance, as well as use it for other non-fitness tasks.

There are only three things that I do not like, but they are minor in nature:

- The band is too large for my petite wrist, even on the tightest setting. One thing I liked about my Garmin was that the holes were decorative elements along the whole band, so it worked well with my small wrist. However, the Bip U Pro is about a 1/4" too big. I used a leather punching kit to add another hole, but it does not look as well as the others, which probably only bothers me because I'm weird like that. But it should be noted for smaller women and teens, and that the loose band may affect accuracy until it is remedied by either an additional hole or purchase of another band.

- I do not like the Zepp app. At all.
* While it does allow a lot of customization, there are lots of elements that rely on a subscription for use. I've tried to hide them just to save on screen clutter, but it isn't totally possible. Also, while some tracking features of the app are well documented, meaning there's more information as to ranges and such, others are just random references without much in-depth information to learn more. (Perhaps it requires a subscription?) Anway, I don't like "required" apps that try to sell me things.
** Also, Zepp isn't available for download on my Amazon Fire Tablet or Windows computer. It only works on a phone. (I did not have this issue with the Garmin app for my previous watch.) I detest apps that can only work on one device. It makes troubleshooting issues with an app difficult.

- The watch doesn't automatically detect physical activity and translate it as the beginning of a workout, which my Garmin did, Instead, it requires the user to select the activity on the watch screen and start it. I don't mind starting the watch. My issue is I frequently forget to stop it, and the "workout" is really the workout + drive home + sometimes even the shower/clothes change afterwards. This type of user error messes up the stats as to the effectiveness of the workout (due to a much lower heart rate in proportion to time logged as a "workout"). For people spoiled by their Garmins or Fitbits, this is a bit of a nuisance.

3.0 out of 5 stars Mediocre substitute for Fitbit

My device has a nice display that is easy to read. It holds a charge for over a week. It displays incoming text messages and provides several types of notifications. Its accuracy, though, leaves much to be desired. When I wear it next to a Fitbit, the Bip3 logs only about 80% of the steps that the Fitbit logs. Heart rate and pulse-ox readings differ a lot, too. The Bip3 only logs a few phases of sleep while the Fitbit recognizes numerous transitions between light, deep, and REM sleep and time awake (far more accurate).

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect At Good Price

This watch has been my go-to for the last couple years. I work in a freezer every other week and my battery operated watches would eventually stop qorking properly and the arms would slow down and in turn give me an inaccurate time. With the rechargable battery it hasn't failed me once! It's comfortable and easy to adjust the size. The appearance gives a modern look and it's got multiple functions. The battery lasts for a long time and with the screen on at wrist turn setting turned off I only have to recharge my watch every couple months.

5.0 out of 5 stars So far, so good.

My first smartwatches were Fitbits. I have had 3 fail on me. I have had both average and top-shelf Fitbit models. Instead of buying a more expensive Apple watch, I decided to give the Amazfit Bip U Pro a try. Yes, the app is a little clunky. It's not perfect. It does everything I want it to do. I have read about the watch being inaccurate. That statement is not accurate. I have done both blood pressure and O2 readings at my doctor's office while the nurse took my readings. They both matched. I would recommend this watch to anyone that doesn't want to pay $250-$600 for a smartwatch. You can also find straps on Amazon to change the aesthetic of the watch. Hope this helps.

1.0 out of 5 stars Really cool… BUT

Welp I have had the watch a grand total of 5.5 days and then the heart rate function stopped working so sadly I will be returning it. I really really love this watch and would have written a raving review until I woke up this AM and had no sleep data and no heart rate. I have no idea what happened. I tried to troubleshoot it, good old turn it off and turn it back on but that did not work. I never dropped the watch or even got it wet.
One star for the potential…..I love that it gets things like stress, spo2, sleep, walking/cycling gps, messages from my phone, and seems to be completely capable of monitoring all my workout data. Until the HR broke. Will be returning (and replacing in hopes the new one will not break this way) with a heavy heart…. Pun intended.
