This item seems almost useless, after some research, I understood its use and the fact that the performance is based on the pump you own.

The instructions could use some detailed instructions.

Other than that, it was still easy to install. Made from plastic, I hope it withstands the AZ sun. I didn’t find any broken pieces.

Immediately, I did see results. Having cleaned out the bucket once, I wish there was a better strainer to catch all the bugs being sucked it. I also haven’t noticed any skimmer with a mesh bucket (probably because it would clog up to easily). Overall, it does its job.

If it’s not doing its job, it might be time to get a new pump.

This gadget would work amazingly if it actually stayed on the side of the pool with a couple tweaks we were able to put back in the pool so the first thing was the threaded piece that clamps to the pool snapped off we drilled a hole through it and put a bolt an washer on the end hopefully it holds second there is no grip on the plastic clamp holding it steady so it kept slipping up out of the water sucking in air to the pump witch is what caused the other piece to snapp off otherwise it works great for bugs and dirt

Poor Quality & Strains Very Little Debris

The Strainer arrived and appeared to be of good quality, however, since installing it in my above ground pool, it doesn’t perform well-strains very little debris and the cup removal strap has already broken only after a few days of use. I do not recommend this item.

Pool Skimmer Not Very Powerful

It appears that the suction is not strong enough for this to work properly. The problem may be a pool heater that is attached to the pool. We are going to remove the heater and see if we get better results. If so, I will gladly revise my review.
