Great controller for the price. Wanted wireless, can play while plugged in, works with linux/retroarch without additional setup. Can tell the quality is not like OEM controllers, but it's great for the price. To turn off HOLD DOWN THE LOGO BUTTON FOR 10 SECONDS.

A little buggy to get working each time I use it. This is on a PC. The issue is getting the connection. It is not Plug & Play. You must manually connect by pushing buttons and sometimes it fails. The Bluetooth connection seems to make an easier connection after the first time. Other than that it is fine.

Great controller

Got this controller in early this morning, and it's excellent. I use a controller on my PC mostly for racing games and platformers. I played several hours of Forza on it today, as well as Ebenezer and the Invisible World (a metroidvania-style platformer) and the controller performed flawlessly. To understand why this is such a big deal to me, this is the 4th or 5th wireless controller I've tried over the past 6 or so months, and the others always had some annoying drawback or defect that caused me to return them. Either the buttons were too stiff, the joystick inputs got stuck in a direction and wouldn't release, or the buttons would map weird in Windows. It was always something. One even malfunctioned after a whole 3 hours of using it, and that one was much more expensive than the SMX. The SMX also doesn't have the annoying M buttons on the back of it. I know those are useful for some people but I absolutely hate those and was glad to see this controller didn't have them. The SMX also feels comfortable to use over long gaming sessions.

Long story short: As long as this controller holds up over time, it is my new go-to for a wireless controller, as I haven't found a single thing about it I don't like. I plan to buy another for my other PC.

there is no way to turn this controller off. hold button for 3,5or 6 seconds does nothing every time i use it it is out of batteries the next day. absolute waste of money. threw box out or id want my money back

Arduous wireless pairing

Once connected, the controller is responsive, sturdy, and comfortable. The buttons are solid and great to interact with mechanically. The battery charge life seems much shorter than described. The wireless pairing is the worst feature. It takes forever to get the controller to connect to the wireless dongle. I imagine most people would give up before the connection happens. It does eventually work with enough back and forth of pressing the buttons on the dongle and the controller. It works fantastic, connecting instantly, with the use of a USB A to USB C cable, at least under 5' (tested with 4 different cables), but I bought a 15' cable to reach the couch, and the controllers didn't work at all. I don't know if it was an issue with the cable, the controller, or a limitation on data/distance.
