My hospital issued me some generic safety glasses to wear while taking care of patients. The things were awful; uncomfortable and constantly fogging on the inside and obstructing my vision. And if there is one thing I need when assessing a patient, it's clear and unobstructed vision.
My philosophy ever since the U.S. Army: buy your own quality equipment, and you will never have to be disappointed by faulty, shoddy, crappy basic issue equipment. So I went on Amazon and looked for good face protection goggles.
Another thing I am suspicious of is when eye protection companies advertise "FOG-PROOF". I ride motorcycles in my off-time, and I have seen plenty of ads for fog-proof eyegear that turned out not to be fog-proof.
So it was with a grain of salt that I ordered these protective goggles. I wore them on the hospital floor the first time yesterday (Sunday, 25 October).
Let's just say: I was blown away by them.
Let's talk:
1) Comfort: After a single adjustment of the very soft and pliable bridge, the glasses fit securely on my face with no vision distortion of any kind. They were so comfortable, I FORGOT I WAS WEARING THEM for approximately 5 hours during my shift. This by itself would mean they were the best things I've seen lately.
2) Anti-fog: remember, these goggles are sitting above a face-mask that practically directs a significant portion of my breath exhalations up into the inside of the lenses. I did everything I could -- heavy breathing, rapid breathing, etc. -- to cause fog to form on the lenses. Nothing. I COULD NOT FOG UP THE GOGGLES even when trying to do so.
I would have said: for the money, these are the best protective goggles for my application that I've seen yet, bar none. But that wouldn't be fair.

I am very happy with the two pairs I ordered. I will give NoCry my protective eyewear business in the future.
