Great sound quality. Unbelievable value, under $40 media player (no cd) has 18 fm memories, 12 am, Bluetooth syncs instantly. Downloaded j lync app on phone allows for full control of stereo with your phone. 2 year manufacturer warranty. Blown away with the features this media player has. Also has front mount usb (also charges phone). Did not mount in a vehicle, I made a vwooden boombox with 6.5 inch speakers, and small 12 volt cooling fan for stereo, all powered by 7 ah 12 volt sealed lead acid battery. Runs this Jensen stereo for about 8 hours on single charge. Sounds great. Definitely recommend this media player.

Replacing the JDM radio (AM stations 9kHz apart) in my Subaru Sambar kei truck was easy and straightforward (with a Scosche connector handling the OEM interface). This mechless unit cuts down the weight and the included sleeve holds the rig securely. Above-average AM and FM sensitivity: getting a lot of DX on a not-fully-extended whip antenna. Plenty of volume in the small cab, runs the range from zero to too-damn-loud thru 4-ohm Cerwin-Vega 4x6s.

Minor complaint is the phone voice pickup quality was described as 'boomy' or 'muddy', but given the large expanses of glass and steel in the cab, the acoustics are probably to be expected. Plays audio mp3s fine from phone, stereo wire and USB stick in addition to AM/FM radio. Can even deliver up to 1A of charge current over the USB port. No color-change, clock, wireless remote (something else to lose!) or temp gauge frou-frou in it, but it does just about everything else you want in a rig at a high level. Robust buttons with good tactile feel add to ownership satisfaction. Decent-to-above-average audio quality with four preset EQ settings and independent front-rear, L-R, and bass-treble settings if you want to go outside the box.

At this price point, with 12 - count 'em - 12 AM and 18 FM presets, this is a terrific little winner. I'm happy I selected this little guy.

At this price, I'm not going to whine. Much.

This head unit is not for an audiophile. Start there. If you're super-picky about your sound, pick another unit.

But, if you like decent sound, it works.

MINUSES:

--The mp3 playback reads the folders on your thumbdrive in what appears to be no discernable order. I think it might read them in the order they were written onto the drive, and not in alphabetical order. Only way I can figure that "The Doors" folder will come before "70's Heavy Hits."

--Because you have to forward through folders as they play, rather than going through folders then clicking on them to start playing music, it takes a while to get through a large selection. That 128gig thumbdrive I bought to put TONS of music on? Useless. I have to stick to smaller ones with tighter music style selections. Yup, could used a holder for the thumb drives, to replace the holder for cd's. Sigh.

--Buttons are small and not intuitive. Keep that instruction manual handy. You'll need it.

--The bluetooth connection cuts off a lot of the first syllables or even words in sentences from the audiobooks I play through my phone.

PLUSES:

--That price.

--Easy installation when you buy the harnesses.

--Decent sound from such a tiny piece of tech.

--Fully digital. Love having bluetooth capability and usb access, along with AM/FM.

Works like it should. Bluetooth connects easily, can tune FM stations and adjust volume. Simple and functions as it should. Stereo output appears to be decent quality with my sound bar. Cheap, small, light weight, easy mount FM tuner installed right next to sound bar. Powered from 110V wall plug power supply with 12V output. Antenna made with audio RCA plug/wire, 30" of single insulated wire for antenna with the insulated ground wire just wrapped up in bunch and tie-wrapped near inserted RCA plug. Picked up all stations that my house FM system with perfect 30" dipole picks up. Excellent for what I wanted, FM radio in trailer.
