I installed this in my wife's jeep JL with the 7" unconnect. The install took some time as the directions were unclear. After plugging device unto usb port, it flashed 1 green light but would not connect to phone. I noticed a small hole next to usb c on device. I inserted a paperclip into hole and pressed the reset button. The device powered on completely and then connected quickly.
We have used this for 2 weeks now and it is flawless. Sound quality is excellent and Android Auto works great.

2 weeks in. Replaced a 14 month AAWireless dongle which stopped connecting. This dongle is so easy to install and connects before I pull out of my garage. I haven't had any disconnects yet. It's nice not having to tweak the settings every day like it seemed I constantly had to do with my previous dongle. Sometimes simpler is better.

I did attempt to update the software with no luck but it works great out of the box.

Got this for my 2021 Ford RV. Has a Sony head unit with plug in Android Auto. Wanted wireless so I cold keep my phone charged. The wired port in the truck would not charge phone when plugged in for Android Auto. Plug this device in and it worked perfect. Android Auto menu was just like the one on my Grand Highlander even with side-by-side display of navigation and media. Great purchase.

I used this adapter in a 2024 VW GTI S with my Google Pixel 7a cell phone. My experience has not been good.

1. The car only has USB-C ports. The Loboair came with a USB-C adapter. The included USB-C adapter is of poor quality, so I wouldn't plan on using it - I ended up having to use an USB-C adapter that Google provided with my phone to get a reliable connection. Curiously, it would not power on with multiple different native USB-C cords (i.e., it would only power on if there was a USB-C to USB-A adapter involved).

2. For the first couple weeks, it generally worked well. It quit working once, but I fixed it by connecting to the unit's WiFi SSID, accessing the administrative functions at http://192.168.1.101, and performing a factory reset.

3. After about a month, it quit working completely. A factory reset did not help. I attempted to update the unit's firmware but was not successful.

The wireless Android Auto architecture is so complicated that I hesitate to write a bad review, but my experience with a new VW and pretty new cell phone has not been good.

My Galaxy S23 has never worked with Android Auto for my car but plugging in this device and linking through it was the workaround after trying everything else possible. I tried another device similar to this, which worked for 11 days and would not allow a connection after that. I returned it and got this one imstead. It was easy to connect, starts up quickly, and is a convenient size. Mine came fully updated but you may need to run through the update procedures if it is not working for you. As of this review, I have only used it for one day but I will update the review if I come across any issues.

Bought this for my 2021 Toyota 4runner. I use it with my Samsung phone and it works great! Displays the Google maps and they are more current usually. Also let's me search Google by just saying "hey Google " and it will give me any info I want hands free. This plugs into the USB port where you would put a thumb drive and configured itself to work. I would buy it again.

I initially was skeptical because of overly positive reviews, however it actually works pretty well. I've noticed a very small amount of connectivity issues when my phone doesn't have good service. Other than that, it's awesome.

I have a 2024 Forester so YMMV. When it works it works fine. Get in the car, it automatically connects to the phone and Android Auto pops up on the screen. I even found on the net some instructions to make the firmware update function work, the included instructions leave out a step.
So here's where it doesn't work: It will not connect unless you enter the car and start it up relatively quickly. If you spend any time doing anything else (back seat, loading, tail gate) it connects to phone but not to car. And the only way to fix it is to shut down, exit, lock, leave radio distance of car then return and start over. This is not practical at all. Unplugging device and plugging back in doesn't do it. That's how it comes across and it is repeatable.
