This app must be used in conjunction with the Blue Iris PC software, available at blueirissoftware.com. Manage and connect to one or more Blue Iris PCs. Blue Iris allows you to manage up to 64 network and analog cameras and is compatible with hundreds of popular brands and models.

An easy to navigate interface allows you to quickly move between an all-camera view, camera group views, or individual camera views. Remotely control PTZ and many camera settings. Quickly review alerts and video recordings on a per-group, per-camera, or time basis.

Receive Push notifications from the Blue Iris PC when there is an Alert based on motion or other criteria.

Blue Iris and this app are under constant development and many new features will continue to be made available at no extra cost.

Love Blue Iris, like the app.

I used this BEFORE I got an Amazon Fire phone, so I knew what I was getting. I've used Blue Iris to run the cameras for my security system since v2 and it's in v4 now. You have to have a computer running Blue Iris to use this app.

That said, I love being able to see my cameras on my phone where ever I am. If I'm mowing in the back (about 300 yards from my front door) I can look to see if USP/Fedex/USPS has delivered a package I was waiting for. Stuff like that is mostly what I use this app for, where I live now security isn't such a big concern as it used to be. When I lived in Los Angeles it was all about security, now it's more about convenience and curiosity but I'll never be without this app (or it's later releases) again no matter where I am.

It's very handy when positioning a camera view to just bring up the app, bring up that camera -- and see what the camera is seeing on my phone to make adjustments ...

There ARE things I don't like about the app. You can't select a camera and see all the alerts and video from that specific camera. If you run a video to see what happened on a given camera a few hours ago when you jump back to the video selection screen it starts from the latest video and you have to scroll through all those videos again to see the next one (or previous one) chronologically from the last one you viewed.

If you have one or two cameras, that might not sound like such a big deal. I have 24 cameras and it does get annoying to have to sift through everything to find what I want. On the computer Blue Iris uses as a server, this isn't the case; if you click on a camera view it shifts the video history to just the recordings made by that camera.

There are no "deal killers" in the app, just some minor annoyances and inconveniences. I've seen Blue Iris steadily improve over the years, the developers are good folks trying to and succeeding at supplying a very good product for a very low price. I'm sure they'll get this app dialed in eventually and until then, it's useful but occasionally irritating.

I gave it 5 stars because it does what it's designed to do, which isn't necessarily what I want it to do. It's solid, never crashes, never glitches and works as it should as long as there's a data connection of any type. It's given me no trouble on the phone I have now nor on any previous phones.

No longer works with Android 12

Update 12/6/21**** app was great for several years, but now it no longer works on Android 12 for absolutely no reason... basically if you, like me bought this in this app store so you didn't have to pay double to use it on fire and other Android devices you're now stuck, the devs don't seem to care and looks like they plan to leave us out in the cold....

Excellent companion app to Blue Iris software. I run 8 IP cameras on the Blue Iris Desktop software and this app picks everything up without any issues.

Seems to work better them most, plus the price isn't too bad.
Supports a lot of cameras, had some problems with it auto scanning adding a camera and picking out the proper settings to get the feed. You then have to know what to pick from a list. Googling required to fix that.
It does get updated regularly.
I have had antivirus problems get in the way of a Blue Iris, the product's abilities to email you a camera problem, comes to mind.

The Test mail works but not the real background process running as a service. You need to dink with the antivirus to allow it, Avast is one that breaks the email as it monitors the email, SMTP ports.

Understand there is a lot to dink with. Some advice, do direct streaming to the disk, no inserting
time stamps, text by Blue Iris, get this info off the camera in the feed, the stream has to be be reformatted, heavy CPU if BI does this.

Iframes and FPS, in direct mode to disk a recording can only start on an I Frame... 20 FPS, IFrame at 40, you can lose 2 seconds, 40 frames, before the recording starts. Blue Iris does allow you to set a prebuffer, you would need to set this to 2 seconds, so BI always has 2 seconds of video queued so it can add to the start of the recording. These things can drive you nuts if you don't know.

Hard wire your cameras if you can, wifi sucks.

many issues .with this software ,ones you purchase the software no help you could get probably you need to make a monthly payment to resolve issues ,send emails no answer .just went out and lost all video and wont start ,its embarrassing software ,allot loose of time to try to fix it ,and no matter how many times you delete it and reinstall it ,it wont work we had to take it out and install an NVR ,this software is a joke and you will loose your customers if you use it sooner or latter it will stop working and get your customer angry ,NO ZERO HELP FROM BlueIris !!!!!!!!!????????hope we can get the money back 80$ in the drain and allot headach

Good IP camera software when it works but mostly a disappointment...

When this software works, it's great but even with high speed cable internet, the connection is sporadic. The setup was straightforward and fairly easy if the cameras are set up correctly to begin with. The motion detection or timed videos and photos are great when the connection works.

The phone app is pricey but works perfectly when the main software connects. Other free or low cost phone apps work as well or better for remote viewing. For the price, it's not worth it unless the connectivity problems are corrected. We are using several indoor and outdoor Foscam cameras (1/19821W, 4/18910W, 3/18904W and 2/18906W) with the Blue Iris software at two different locations.

The cameras at the most remote location (80 miles away) using satellite internet have the most reliable connection for some reason...

Hopefully, it will improve. I wish I could get a refund at this point.
