I have just started using this software, so it would be an injustice to fully rate it. So far I have enjoyed what I have worked with and there are instructions and tutorials to help with the knowledge area. So as a beginner I would say it would take work and lots of reading. I have used other photo editing software and by far this is best I have used. There are many features I am experimenting with for the first time. Many applications to this software, lots more than others I used in the past. The download went very well with no problems. So I am very happy with this software.

A friend recommended I check this out and I thought it might fit my needs. Wowie, did it! Great package of a wide variety of edits! This editing program has already saved many a photo for me. I'm still exploring the depth and breadth of edit options (so many edits available). Mostly, it's quite a user-friendly package, too. Give it a look, it just may blow your socks off like it did for me!

It DOES NOT WORK

DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM COREL. They have ZERO customer service. AMAZON does not provide the LINK (as promised) to download the software. They only provide a serial number. You must download the trial version from Corel. Which, upon install, demands a serial number AND an ACTIVATION CODE. Amazon provides no activation code. All the Corel support documents and pages refer to 2021 Only. and to get an ACTIVATION CODE from COREL? Requires 1) Install the software. 2) try to boot it, when it demands the ACTIVATION code, you are required to enter the serial number, THEN YOU ARE REQUIRED TO DISCONNECT FROM THE INTERNET (ALL this per Corel's Help Page Docs) , and THEN CLICK on "PHONE COREL:, which causes another menu to pop up, with all the information populated, except for Activation code, You are THEN supposed to submit a support request to Corel with that information, else phone and hang on the phone with them, and THEN (so says the help page) they will give you the activation code. So far it’s been 3 hours wait time. Stupid me. This is my 6th purchase of Corel Paintshop Pro. Stupid me, in examining my Corel account I realize the 2019 Version I bought 2+ years ago also NEVER functioned, Never activated. This is now about $145.00 in software that will never work, and about 8 hours of my time. That I will never get back.

Very Out-Dated Compared to Other Modern Design Softwares

Correct me if I'm wrong, but there are many things about this software that are far behind its competition. Most importantly is the U.I., it looks as though it is from before 2010. It's clunky, the brushes are not smooth, and it just looks unappealing.

I regret spending $50 dollars on this software. As a college student, I could have gotten 2 months of all adobe's creative software for the same price.

If you are looking specifically for a good painting software, clip art studio takes the cake by far. You can download free user-created brushes unlike this one.
