I ride my bike to work and home most days and I have an older Under Armour backpack I've been using for 3 years or so and finally decided it was time to upgrade...I had received my UA backpack as a gift, so when I went to price the newer ones, I was hit with sticker shock. Just their "basic" models were more than twice the price of almost all others I found. While my older one is fine, it wasn't particularly impressively manufactured if I'm being honest.
Not sure what stopped me on the Boniyee model, but I gotta say, I'm happy I did. I wanted a slightly bigger backpack than my UA, and I got the larger version and when I unpacked it, I was a little surprised. It looked essentially exactly the same size as my previous one. Well damn. Oh well. I can't complain because it was pretty inexpensive, so I wasn't upset...especially knowing had I gone with a really basic Under Armour version would have run close to 3 times more.
This is where the rubber hit the pavement, so-to-speak. After transferring everything from my slightly cramped older pack to the new one, I was floored at how much MORE room it had. It is absurdly deceiving how small it looked compared with how much room you actually have. As I said before, it looked pretty much the exact same size, and while I was perfectly fine with that, I was thrilled to realize that I had in reality what looked like quite a bit of extra room. It has so many places to store stuff it's almost ludicrous. The handle at the top is actually a threaded metal rope-like material covered with a see-thru plastic, almost rubber-like material which is then covered by a rubber-plastic material for the handle. It's attention to detail like this which makes me happy with the build - far better than the cheaper, FAR more expensive UA pack I had previously.
It comes with a cord to charge your laptop while still in the pack without opening it - a very convenient option should you choose to use it for transporting your computer.
What can I say? The backpack is truly exceptional. If you don't have to have a famous logo on your backpack, then I highly encourage you to see what a great pack is capable of - and at a great price, too.
