I purchased this tablet for my 4 year old, and am extremely happy with my purchase. The tablet itself is very nice and so is the case it comes in, very durable. Set-up was quick and simple, as is the overall structure of the tablet. I also like the parental control options such as, daily limits, and a breakdown of your child's activity. There is an app you can download on your phone as well to keep an eye on the things your child is doing. Those features are very important to me as a parent! If you are looking for a tablet for your kids, I highly recommend this one. The only complaints are the handle on the case and battery life. The handle on the case is a hard plastic, whereas the rest of the case is more of a soft, cushion-like material that is durable. I would prefer the handle was the same material as the rest of the case, as the plastic handle seems a little flimsy and easy to break, so far it has held up. The battery life could be better too. If you plan on taking a long road trip or something, be sure to have a charger for the car because it will not last after 4-5 hours of continued use. Granted, most days the tablet isn't being used consistently in our household, but it's something to keep in mind when purchasing if you need a device with a longer battery life. Aside from those small complaints, everything else about this tablet is wonderful. Lastly, I do recommend either purchasing a memory card for this device, or chosing the larger storage option.

5.0 out of 5 stars My grandkids love these

The Amazon Fire 7 Kids tablet has become a beloved tradition in our family, and for good reason – it's an absolute lifesaver!

For years now, whenever one of our grandkids turns 2, we've made it a point to gift them an Amazon Fire 7 Kids tablet. It's become somewhat of a cherished tradition, and it's easy to see why.

First and foremost, these tablets are incredibly durable. We've lost count of the number of times they've been dropped, bumped, or even accidentally submerged in water, yet they still keep on ticking. It's truly remarkable how much of a beating these little devices can take without missing a beat. They're built to withstand the rough and tumble nature of kids' play, which is a huge relief for us as grandparents.

But durability aside, what really sets the Amazon Fire 7 Kids tablet apart is its wealth of kid-friendly content and parental controls. From educational apps and games to thousands of books, videos, and songs, there's no shortage of entertainment options to keep the little ones engaged for hours on end. And with the ability to set time limits, filter content, and monitor usage, we can rest easy knowing our grandkids are safe and sound while they explore the digital world.

What's truly impressive is that even the tablets we purchased years ago are still going strong to this day. They've become trusted companions for our grandkids, providing endless hours of fun and learning.

Overall, the Amazon Fire 7 Kids tablet has been an invaluable addition to our family. It's a gift that keeps on giving, fostering creativity, curiosity, and imagination in our little ones. If you're in search of a durable, kid-friendly tablet that offers peace of mind for parents and grandparents alike, look no further than the Amazon Fire 7 Kids tablet.

Perfect tablet for my toddlers! It didn't have much storage, so I purchased a micro sd card to expand that, so problem solved! Very easy to use and figure out, setup was a breeze and it has AWESOME battery life - highly recommend if you're trying to decide on a nice, durable tablet for your little ones.

This is a very solid tablet. The build is nice, the protective case is exceptional for little ones, it feels good in your hands, it's lightweight, and it loads quickly. I bought 2, for our 5 & 1 year old. We have been using the Contixo tablets for years (starting with our 9 year old). They are similarly priced and built, but the Contixo tablets use Google/Android. I know, I know. :) I knew this didn't have Google, Google Play, or web access when I bought it. What I didn't realize was how important that was for us, OR everything else that losing that functionality meant. The downside to Contixo tablets is that they are sometimes slow & buggy. The Fire tablet is far more fast and smooth. But, alas, it just didn't meet OUR needs. The MAIN things for us were: 1. No YouTube Kids (my kids love YT Kids & use it regularly), 2. No FamilyLink parental controls mgr...or similar program (I'm accustomed to that specific interface. I pull up the FL app, it shows me the location of the item on Google Maps, I can ping the item if it is misplaced, I can set screen limits, I can control what sites they visit, I can see their history, I can set bedtime, I can immediately lock the item, and so much more. 3. No reliable way to ping the tablet or make it ring when lost/misplaced. Our house isn't huge, but it is spacious & has many nooks & crannies. My kids put things down in the darndest places. I need to be able to quickly log into an app on my phone, press "ring/find tablet" and hear the item (so I can find it, similar to my cell phone). We've been looking for 1 child's TV remote for 9 months and still haven't found it (lol). So, that functionality is a huge deal for us. I also missed the simple home screen on the Contixo tablets. I can setup exactly what apps I want them to see on the home screen (like a cell phone). The Fire tablet had too many different options, suggested apps, & icons on the screen. I didn't really see an option to hide those or customize that view. Again, the Fire tablet is beautiful, it just didn't suit our needs. It felt like an extension of my FireTV or Prime Video home screen from our TV. That is too busy for my kids' needs. They want to click & open every show they see (& some of them are not free). If you just need a portable way for your kids to watch programs/shows from Prime Video, this is golden. Otherwise, meh. 4. There also aren't any games. My kids love the little coloring, spelling, and word games (Google Play Store) on their Contixo tablets. Again, worth mentioning three times, I am still very, very surprised about not having a way to ring the item if it was lost. I couldn't even install Lookout or a similar program to help. This is a child's item. They misplace things. At this price point, that should be a no-brainer. So basically if they lose it or lay it down out of sight, you are S.O.L. until you come across it. I saw many moms complain about these same few issues. I'm sure Amz will fix it in the future. I'll repurchase then. Returned both for now.

Bought this for my five year old she loves it. My only complaint is I bought a memory card to go with it and it's hard to download more books and games on it. Also it's kind of a pain to control certain shows and games to play... Once you get it all figured out there's lots of educational stuff for it. Kids think they're just playing when it's actually teaching them.
