I followed the instruction but cut down on the amount since I wasn’t sure if it would be a success. I used 2 cup of heated soy milk and 1/8 tps of GDL. After an hour, I checked and it was still liquid, I added another 1/8 tps, which bring it to 1/4 in total, left it there until the next day and got my tofu pudding. It tastes just like the one I buy from the supermarket. There is no weight aftertaste or anything.
I didn’t make my own soy milk, I bought the fresh soy milk from the supermarket. But if you want to make your own soy milk, don’t use the one made from the soy milk machine, the machine blend the bean then heat up the milk so the bean residual would still be there and cause it to fail. If you will have to make the soy milk manually, as in soak the bean, the blend it with water, extract the milk then cook it. It’s a lot of work but the end result is very rewarding.
