This was purchased as a decoration for my child’s science themed bedroom. It is so cool! She loves it! It’s a unique way to bring science into her room. It feels sturdy, so I’m not worried about it getting broken if she chooses to take it off of her shelf.

ITEM: Pokiphip Animal Specimen in Resin (Snake)

COMMENTS: I am using this as household decoration as I like oddities.

PROS:

- The acrylic is perfectly clear with no inclusions or bubbles. It’s sturdy as well (maybe a coating?) because after being viciously attacked by the cats (read as ‘pushed off the table’) there’s no blemishes, which previous acrylic specimens this hasn’t been the case.

- The snake is perfectly positioned for both visibility and aesthetic appeal.

- The size and weight makes this a perfect paperweight. My coworkers did not appreciate this fact though, so it was ordered to the home office.

NEUTRALS:

- The snake does have imperfections. such as minor scale damage/scarring, but I think this is a benefit as it’s reality (and appreciate the demonstration of any/all animals).

CONS:

- None.

WOULD I PURCHASE?: Yes. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality, so find the $31.95 asking price acceptable.

CONCLUSION: This is a lovely specimen with only minor blemishes and with flawless acrylic encasement. The size and weight of the snake option makes it a perfect paperweight and I’m really pleased with the durability.
