5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing job

Was prepping a close to 30 year old paintball gun to be used this weekend. I haven’t touched it in at least 9 years and rust had formed. Well I grabbed this when I meant to grab some oil to get it working again. This did an amazing job cleaning out the junk and to my suprise the gun started working apparently again(it’s now had oil put on it too and works like new again).

5.0 out of 5 stars Not just for guns

Among spray solvent cleaners, these are your options:

Classic (red can) Brakleen. This is tetrachloroethylene. Same thing as dry cleaner fluid. This is NON-FLAMMABLE (check the can). Excellent cleaner (it's literally cleaning fluid). Also safe for most plastics. But bad for the environment and dangerous when heated. Banned in some states.

Non-chlorinated brake cleaner. Very flammable, not safe for many plastics.

Carb cleaner... extremely flammable, doesn't even try to be safe for plastics.. designed to dissolve everything. Often contains acetone, toluene, etc.

Gun Scrubber (this product)... designed to be gentle on gun finishes, contains only alcohol and hexane, both relatively gentle organic solvents with relatively high flash points. It's still flammable, but less so than anything containing acetone. No toxic chlorinated hydrocarbons. So Gun Scrubber is basically a can of rubbing alcohol and hexane. If you are looking for a less-toxic, slightly less - flammable spray cleaner that's safe for plastics and finishes, this is the only product on the market. It's basically a can of rubbing alcohol. Even if you don't have any guns, this is the best general purpose household spray solvent cleaner you can get, and it's also not expensive.

Fabulous product. Cleans firearms to a level where you could stand inspection at boot camp.

It works, great for blasting debris out of hard to reach places, my only real issue is kind of a non issue for some. It evaporates super fast, which is good and bad its good because you can blast your FCU and other touchy parts and not have to worry about liquid getting and staying in places it shouldn't, but then again its too fast because by the time i set the can down to grab a swab its dried up. Also it left a weird white residue on my Glonk slide, a lil oil and it wiped away but still odd.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Have For The Gun Room

I've used Gun Scrubber for at least 3 decades. It's great for cleaning loose debris out of hard to reach areas. It's safe on most guns but not all. It's quite harsh so test it on plastics and synthetics before using.

Aside from melting some cheaper plastics I've never had it damage the finish on any wood or metal finishes on a gun. Whatever you do, DO NOT get this stuff in your eyes.

This isn't really a solvent type cleaner. It's meant to rinse away gunk that's already been loosened up in or on your gun.

I caught it on sale and it's a great value.

Is a very powerful degreaser, and I’ve used it in things other than guns.

Works good without the strong smell of Brake Clean.
This stuff is like Brake Clean.
I use this on my pistols when cleaning it make the cleaning job alot quicker. It knocks the oil, grease, and carbon off, then you can clean the rest of your gun easier. I'm not saying this stuff totally cleans your gun but it does make the job alot quicker.

Ease of use, cleans nooks and crannies, removes all residue including old grease and oil, I use this first then use brushes CLP etc. After cleaning I use a product called barricade to prevent rustimg. I spray gun scrubber on the bore snake just before pulling it through the barrel. You can use it to clean other parts such as carburetors small power tools etc
