Pros: It looks good, has easy-to-follow and accurate directions for assembling it and is incredibly sturdy.
Cons: I had to summon my husband to put it together.
Ultimate assessment: It's large so it will live outside as soon as I find a waterproof cover to protect the wood and keep it dry.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy firewood rack - 32 bolts to assemble it

Review of LOCENHU Indoor Firewood Rack can hold up to 220 pounds,3.1FT Outdoor Firewood Racks,Wood Holders Firewood Indoor,Heavy Duty Fire Log Stacker Stand for Outdoor Indoor Fireplace,Black:
I ordered this firewood rack as a gift for my son. He and his family use a firepit and needed a rack for storing the wood they burn and keeping it up off the ground and keeping it dry. It arrived in a fairly small compact, but heavy box, so assembly was required. There were 32 bolts so a fairly lengthy assembly process. Once assembled, it seems fairly durable. It's not necessarily aesthetically pleasing, but it is certainly functional which is the main point. My son tried using the very thin wrenches that came with it, but eventually just grabbed his 14mm wrench and 14mm ratchet wrench which made the assembly process go much quicker. However, if you don't have tools, it's nice that wrenches are included. Two of the straight pieces that assemble into the u-shaped bend that makes the top were really a snug fit and required a bit of aggressive persuading. All in all, he is fairly happy with it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice little firewood rack but you better like the look of bolts and nuts
Reviewed in the United States on April 22, 2024
This is a nice looking and sturdy firewood rack. The hardware is heavy duty, maybe a bit beefier than what is needed. However, none of the nuts and bolts appear to be galvanized, so rusting may be an issue down the road. Mine will be used outdoors and set on paving stones, so rust staining would be a concern for me. The structural parts appear to be made from relatively heavy gauge, powder coated steel, which I fear will also likely rust down the road. Plastic caps are included that fit on the bottom of the open ends that function as feet, so that should help some.

I found the instructions to be well written and easy to understand. There are many parts to this (especially nuts, bolts, and washers!), but it only took 30 to 40 minutes from start to finish to review and sort the pieces, review the instructions, and assemble it. The hardware included two small wrenches but I used a ratcheting wrench, which really sped up the assembly process. I found the parts to be machined well as everything fit together perfectly and without issue. Mine came with a few extra hardware pieces included in the event you should lose a piece or two during the process. Once assembled, the unit is sturdy. Interestingly, washers were included but not listed in the material list or shown in any of the details, but it was obvious that a washer went with every nut/bolt assembly.

Oddly, there were four corner units that were included, that apparently serve no purpose but to protect the corners of the contents of the box during shipment. There is no mention of them in the manual. These corners were made from the same powder coated steel as the rest of the unit and have machined holes, so one would get the impression that they were to be included in the assembly somehow. IMO these are expensive corner protectors, if that is the only thing they were intended for.

Another oddity is that there is a hoop/ring at the center top of each side, which apparently serves no real purpose.

All-in-all, I consider this to be a pretty nice firewood rack and it is just the right size to be near my outdoor firepit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy. Easy to install. LOTS of BOLTS
Reviewed in the United States on April 5, 2024
This firewood rack is a nice touch to my backyard patio. I enjoy lighting the firepit on a whim so I always have firewood available. This rack can hold 4-5 nights worth of firewood based on 20 pieces per night lasting 3-4 hours/night. That's more than enough for what I need. It is very sturdy. Putting it together was easy but having to tighten 30+ bolts by hand is tiresome. If you had a drill with correct attachments than I would suggest using it. Overall, I'm very happy with this rack. I would recommend.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy rack - but assembly takes a little patience
Reviewed in the United States on May 6, 2024
Having 7 fireplaces in the house, I own and have assembled plenty of other racks. Getting the shipment I was a little skeptical about the rack as the box was pretty small. Putting together this rack takes a little effort and realized the reason for the small box was that there were so many pieces and it's plenty of nuts and bolts. After putting it all together, I also realized it being in pieces makes it that much more sturdier. Even though there are so many parts and screws, it's mostly all hidden once you put the wood in the rack. It works nicely and holds a lot of weight.

3.0 out of 5 stars Pretty nice for a small wood rack
Reviewed in the United States on February 3, 2024
If you want a compact wood rack this will suit your purposes, but it's a little on the expensive side for its size. The picture in the advertisment depicts it holding a whole lot pieces of firewood. The wood pictured must be dowel size pieces because there is no way it can hold that many normal size pieces of firewood.

It is pretty sturdy and its nice for our covered porch to keep a couple days of firewood dry. If you burn a lot of wood, whatever you store in this rack will not last very long, maybe a weekend. But that is ok for our situation since we replenish it frequently.

It comes with a LOT of hardware. There are at least 32 bolts, 32 washers and 32 nuts involved in the assembly process. It does come with little wrenches if you don't have a socket set, but it'd take a while to assemble without a socket set. The directions are made for people who can't read; it's all pictures. I don’t know why they can't print directions using words. I was left with some extra parts that were not pictured. I'm not sure what they were for.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy rack

We went from a big old pile of wood just thrown on the side of our house to a much more organized pile of wood on the side of our house. All joking aside it looks so much better having it organized on the wood rack.

It seems to be well built. There were a crap ton of bolts/screws to get it set up. But it is sturdy and I imagine it will last for a good long time.
