UPDATE FIXED ICON PROBLEMS BUT.....

I had ran earlier versions of Cal Creator and loved it. My last was version 7. The only one available for windows 10 was version 10 as a download. I got it and it works BUT. The icons for setting cal dates do not show up as listed in the help menus and there is no way to fix it. In fact, all of the icons do not show up. It is a POS. Avoid this crap. Its too bad that this is still the only real calendar program available. I guess I will be stuck with the crappy windows version until maybe somebody comes up with something.

and update fixed the earlier problems so it would at least run. But this program makes a call to Broderbun every time you start it to check for updates automatically. If their server is down (as happens often) or your internet service is down it will not startup at all and you can not use it. Checking for an update should be a manual task done by the user. Who ever come up with this feature need a new education.

I have had several Calendar Creators in the past and was quite satisfied with them. I got a new computer and when I went to load the program, I could not find my disk. I had to purchase and download a new version. I have had problems attempting to use it since I got it. I have tried to use the videos to see how to use it. It has helped a small bit, but it does not answer my questions. I tried calling the 800 number but that was a waste of time. You cant talk to a person only listen to another tape that doesn't help. I finally figured out how to put events on the list but I cant find out how to put it on a calendar so as of now the program is useless. One of the times I tried to put and entry on a calendar, it put it on every day of the month and I cant delete the entries. Unless I can figure out how to get this to work, it looks like I have wasted $40.00. The chances of me purchasing another Calendar Creator is almost 0.

This version is a big disappointment. I have used previous versions of Calendar Creator and thought it was great. I wanted to add the new version to a new laptop. I should of checked the reviews, but assumed the new version would be as good as the older versions. I was wrong. The new version does not have many of the features of the older versions and has a lousy interface. Amazon does also not allow for refunds of downloaded software. The version is so bad that I just uninstalled it. So I just wasted $30! I'd rate this version as 0 stars if that was a choice.

I have used Calendar Creator by Broderbund for decades. Several months ago Windows 10 said that it did not recognize Broderbund and I was unable to use it. I downloaded this new version to work with Windows 10 and apparently it collided with the old software and won't open. I guess I'm out the download cost.

This software is terrible. It has almost none of the features of the original Calendar Creator (for example, you can't even banner an event on a calendar) and it is very difficult to use. The user's guide is also terrible, and support is nonexistent.
