They fit in exactly like they were from factory. But that's nothing compared to the nice wood box they came in. Holds all of the stylus' with just enough room to hold my spare battery and mini screwdriver, and not taking up too much room everything packs into my carry case.

The item is described to fit a Nintendo 3DS XL “perfectly,” and this is simply a lie. The stylus is far too fat to fit in the 3DS XL slot that houses the stylus. I own two 3DS XLs and lost one of the styluses, so I have an official Nintendo stylus to physically compare this rip-off to. These are too fat, and not the same length as the Nintendo official. Where credit is due, is this unofficial stylus interacts with the screen just fine. If all you’re looking for is touchscreen interaction, go for it. If you want both touchscreen and in-device storage fitting, this item is not for you.

Either the product description was changed recently or the other reviewers weren’t paying attention. These styluses are for the New Nintendo 3DS XL, not for the original. They all were the exact fit for my system, so I’m very happy.

 edit: the insten stylus from target fits perfectly.

the styluses themselves are fine. they work, they aren't badly made, but they don't fit the 3ds xl as advertised. I can force it into the slot, but it doesn't even fit flush and trying to get it back out is extremely difficult. if you don't care about actually keeping the stylus with your 3ds then go for it, otherwise try another seller.

you can see in the video provided it takes alot of force to get the stylus in and then i can't remove it one handed. I needed to get a tool to help me get enough leverage to unwedge the thing.
