5.0 out of 5 stars Good laptop.

It is ASUS so can not say much more than that. It is a good little laptop. Unfortunately for what I want to use it for it was not a good selection. I was going to use this for a astrophotography laptop connected to my telescope camera. It runs the programs I need but trying to use the live camera feature on my astro camera it seemed a bit laggy. If you want a everyday internet browsing and school laptop it is just fine.

Does its job. Not the fastest with a couple tabs open, but that is to be expected. Would like to have a lit keyboard, but that in turn would affect battery life and cost. Definitely worth the money as is though.

5.0 out of 5 stars Compact Powerhouse - ASUS E210 Delivers on Performance and Portability
Reviewed in the United States on November 22, 2023
I recently acquired the ASUS Notebook E210, and it has proven to be a delightful blend of compact design and impressive performance. This 11.6” Ultra Thin laptop is a true powerhouse, packing in the features you need without compromising on portability.

The Intel Celeron N4020 Processor provides a snappy and responsive experience, handling daily tasks with ease. Whether it's web browsing, document editing, or multimedia playback, the E210 performs admirably. The 4GB RAM ensures smooth multitasking, allowing me to switch between applications seamlessly.

The 11.6-inch display is vibrant and sharp, making it ideal for both work and entertainment. The ultra-thin design not only adds to its aesthetic appeal but also makes it incredibly convenient for on-the-go use. Weighing in at just the right balance between light and sturdy, this laptop is a perfect companion for those who value mobility.

The 64GB storage, while not expansive, is sufficient for the intended use of this notebook. Additionally, the inclusion of various connectivity options, including USB and microSD slots, provides flexibility for expanding storage or connecting peripherals.

The E210's keyboard is comfortable and well-spaced, offering a pleasant typing experience. The touchpad is responsive, and the overall build quality feels durable. The battery life is impressive, easily lasting through a full day of moderate usage.

Setting up the laptop was a breeze, thanks to the user-friendly Windows operating system. ASUS has kept bloatware to a minimum, ensuring a clean and efficient out-of-the-box experience.

In conclusion, the ASUS Notebook E210 is a stellar choice for those in search of a compact, reliable, and performance-driven laptop. Whether you're a student, a professional on the move, or someone who values a portable yet powerful computing experience, the E210 deserves serious consideration. It's an excellent investment that seamlessly marries form and function. Highly recommended!

1.0 out of 5 stars The 2021 Model Is A Setback From The 2020 - No Card Reader
Reviewed in the United States on March 31, 2022
This is a small 11.6" laptop that emulates the older netbooks that Asus used to market. The screen is quite good, and the HDMI connection works well for 1080p (4k is only possible at 30 frames). The include USB-C and USB-A ports work as expected and there are USB-A ports on both sides. 64 GB is enough to keep Windows 10 home up without outside interference, and getting out of S mode (which honestly one should do as there is no performance advantage outside of locking out registry entries) has no problems.

This 2021 model does not have a card reader, so you are stuck with the 64 GB unless you can open the back and put in a relatively pricey (compared to the $200 cost of the device) NVMe. This is plainly terrible design given the price point and the usual intended use. The other issue is getting this to upgrade to Windows 11 is technically supported but the image that Asus put in crashes the upgrade. A clean install works fine with UEFI, but this is also irritating. The screws are also quite a pain. Although the service guide says that the screws are all Phillips 1, this is incorrect. The top 5 screws around the hinges are Phillips 1, but the bottom screws are Phillips 0. The Phillips 1 longer screws are of poor quality and were misthreaded into the chassis. Installing the NVMe takes a trip to the BIOS to ename PCIE, and then to Drive Management to assign a drive number.

Support is an issue. Contacting Asus with a case number, they failed to identify the screws or the issues with the BIOS as well as repeated the misquote that this model has a microSD card reader.

The lack of a card reader which is quite necessary in a budget laptop combined with the fact that the previous model year had this with the exact same motherboard and processor makes the 2021 model a poor value proposition for a Windows 10 S laptop. To get this functional, I had to put in much more work as the 2021 model uses lower quality parts and is missing features that the 2020 model has. I still need to figure out what to do with the misthreaded screws, but fortunately the chassis closes properly.

Asus took the goodwill from the solid 2020 build and reduced the functionality which is terrible given the price remained the same.

Update: 11-April-2022
Just went through quite the gauntlet for their customer service process. The baseboard can be repaired at my cost to ship (which was a manufacturer defect from poor screws in the first place). This turned out to be at best a below average purchase with what should have been a grab and go basic browsing machine.
