Fantastic product!

This is the best solution for an "All in one" Kayak finder mount without drilling holes. I bought the YakAttack lock and load finder mount (FFP- 1005) for my Garmin Striker Vivid 4CV. With this product it's "One and Done". Now I can just take the entire finder, battery and transducer off my Old Town 106 Sportsman in one unit in seconds! Awesome design and built like a tank.

tricky assembly

this is a good product and works awesome but if you buy the combo you have to be able to assemble both products at the same time because the assembly instructions are for the individual pieces not the pieces being put together at the same time. so you will have to unassemble the pieces to put them together!

This is easy to assemble and solid. A great all in one for your fish finder on your kayak.
No more having to run wires, this think keeps it all nice and neat. The battery fits in nicely with room for wires attached to the terminals.
And when your done for the day, just take it off the rail and to keep it safe.

cool product/poor instructions

Looks solid- will definitely feel like a pro on the water. Using with a garmin striker 7dv and seems to work just fine. I found the installation to be a bear. Poorly written sparse instructions with minimal diagrams. Had to take it apart several times over three different sessions to finally get the transducer arm figured out (the battery box is pretty easy- especially if you've installed yakattack products before). I figured everything out using common sense... but i don't think the average person is going to take this out of the box and be on the water 20 minutes later.

The plastics used for this is super thick which makes it extremely stout when fully assembled. I love how it keeps my transducer wires neat. What really makes this special, is I could take the entire thing off and place it on another kayak in seconds or keep it off my kayak if I dont feel like taking my fish finder. Another win for YakAttack

Horrible, frustrating experience

Let me begin by saying I have put many IKEA purchases together with instructions that have NO words, only pictures. And those instructions are FAR more detailed than these. This is an absolute horrible product. Missing hardware, horrible instructions, poor design. I can’t imagine ever using this. I purchased it to avoid drilling holes in my kayak and, at this point, I’d drill a hole the size of a softball in my kayak to avoid using this mess.

Will never buy another YakAttack product again. EVER.
