1.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy this one

Followed the activation process & rec'd confirmation of activation. Easy install. Entered PIN required and thought we would have no issues. The BIG issue was that even though the sim card was activated, it would not provide internet coverage. No internet access at all. That means the money we spent was completely wasted. Don't take the risk, buy some other card.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worked all over Europe, Fast Speeds, Easy configuration
Reviewed in the United States on May 11, 2024
Very minimal configuration was required (just one setting) after putting in the SIM. I was able to use this sim in both my unlocked iPhone and unlocked Android phones while I was away in Europe. Data stopped working at some point but it turned out to be an issue with the phone, not the service because swapping it to my iPhone allowed it to work. I ended up having to just reset network settings. Internet speeds were around 150 download.

4.0 out of 5 stars Worked well in most of Europe

This is the 3rd time I used this SIM card. The other trip (to Spain and Portugal) and through the Baltics, it worked perfectly. This trip, we visited 6 countries - it worked perfectly in Poland, Hungry, Germany and Austria. Had difficulties connecting in the Czech Republic and Slovakia; in Slovakia got PDP error messages and in the Czech Republic couldn't connect well; the tech support helped me by manually entering some of the DNS information. In summary, I've always had great luck with this Sim card and gave it 5 star ratings in the past; but, this trip, it wasn't as reliable in all the countries.

Leaving your 17 bucks in your bank account is the best thing you can do, this sim card is a scam, it is useless, there is no one to complain to, believe me, keep your money, do not give it to these scammers.

I started my trip in London, after that we move to France and now we are traveling inside Spain. The service has been flowless and efficient. I have no complain in the reception and connectivity with the Sim card. For sure I will be using the service in the future.

3.0 out of 5 stars Can work but depends on your phone

I'm a tech worker, so there's at least a minimum amount of skill I have as a baseline. This worked on an iPhone but it took me 2 days to figure out how to get it working on an Android. That's an extraordinary amount of time devoted to the phone. The un-secure website to activate your sim is a moderate concern, but I bet I know why it is not secure. A secure website requires a certificate. Certificates aren't cheap. An individual vendor would have to shell out for the certificate and maybe the profit margin isn't high enough to justify this expense. The information you send on the un-secure website is simply your name, e-mail and SIM number. These aren't crucial bits of information, so I accepted the risk. Activation was easy. Activation and installation are two different processes. After landing in Europe and putting in your SIM card, you get a notification. This helps you fetch your phone number. It comes from a source you won't know ahead of time, so you might not be willing to click the link from the notification. On the iPhone, my spouse wasn't willing to click the link. I was willing on my completely blank, cheap Android, but unfortunately I cleared notifications and could not get the link back. The link is different for iPhone and Android, so I could not simply copy the link my spouse got. We operated without phone numbers, so we only had cellular data. That's fine, since our particular ways of communicating did not rely on having a working European phone number. Data only might not work for the average person, except if you use something like Facebook Messenger, Facetime or Whatsapp as your primary communication tool. We landed first in England, and it did use Vodaphone cell towers in England. It worked in Portugal and Spain. The SIM appears to be for Vodaphone in Spain. If you don't know Spanish, messages you get from Vodaphone about your SIM or service won't be easy to comprehend or translate. All that being disclosed, I would probably do this again and might consider fetching my number by clicking the link from the notification. But that's me; I am not suggesting to other customers what they should do. I do have suggestions for the vendor of these SIMs, however. I would suggest to give highly, highly detailed instructions about the process from start to finish and to use secure Google forms (also with links to detailed instructions) to collect the e-mail address and SIM number for the activation process. Signal was always respectable. We naver got 5G but it worked fine with 4G. We had gobs of data, 12 GB in Europe and 25 GB specifically in Spain. We used maybe 15% of all this. If you have a relatively recent iPhone and are willing to use the un-secure website to activate - and you are willing to click the link in the notification after landing in Europe and putting in your SIM, then this might work just fine for you. Based on my single experience with this on Android, I cannot recommend using Android with it. On a risk scale from 1 (low) to 10 (high), I'd put it at a 5, somewhere in the middle. You have to figure out what your risk tolerance level is. The vendor can do a few relatively simple things to bring the perceived risks down greatly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Worked well in Greece
Reviewed in the United States on July 20, 2024
Last summer I used this product in Spain and purchased again this year for trip to Greece. Worked perfectly. Register the SIM online before departure. When ready to install, turn off phone. Install the Sim when you arrive in Europe. Turn on phone. The SIM includes a PIN that you will need to enter once the phone boots. That’s it. Keep the PIN handy as you may need to enter it again during your trip, particularly if you turn phone off and back on. Had better service with this SIM than another phone using Verizon international data plan. Recommend but follow the instructions carefully.
