Did what it was supposed to do.

I am a mobile detailer and I have used this once, decent product, in my case it worked really well. I was touching up the rim on a Range Rover Sport for a client, it was supposed to be temporary until I could get paint with the proper color-match for his rims. However, with some decent prep-work and using this pen, the result came out so good that when I was about to show the client where I fixed the damage, we couldn't find it :) it was like it was never there, I take some credit for that of course, any job is only as good as your prep work, but the color matched so good not being the correct color-code that the client accepted the touch-up job with this pen as the permanent fix.
This was done now about six months ago, and I do weekly maintenance washes on this car and it still doesn't show where we fixed it so the paint seem to hold up good. Definitely worth it for some light touch-ups.
If you need to actually paint on the paint, I would suggest buying small precision brushes from an art store, the brushes that comes with any of these type kits or what not are usually pretty cheap or is not the proper size or softness you need, which can vary depending on the task, and the bristles will eventually go in all kinds of directions making it difficult to make a nice and discreet touch-up job.

Overall, for what I needed it for this time it did the job perfectly.

ITEM'S PAINT BRUSH DETACHED FROM CAP, FALLING AND SPATTERING ON GARAGE FLOOR ON FIRST USE. VERY CHEAPLY MADE AND DISAPPOINTING, AND NOW PAINT IS ON OUR GARAGE FLOOR. ALSO, THIS APPEARS TO BE STANDARD / BASIC WHITE, SO IF YOUR CAR IS OFF-WHITE IN COLOR, YOU'VE BEEN INFORMED. BE MINDFUL WHEN PURCHASING. THIS MADE MY CAR'S COSMETIC FLAWS LOOK LIKE WHITE OUT (ATTACHED) THAT'S NOTICEABLE FROM SEVERAL FEET AWAY.

Is it a perfect match to my car paint? No. Is it close? Yes. Can you tell up close that it is just a touch up? Yes. From 10 ft away? Probably not. Bottom line, if you have a little paint damage that you don't want to be as noticeable, but you didn't want to spend hundreds to thousands of dollars on a paint job, this will do that. Don't buy it thinking it's going to magically disguise it. It will cover it up as much as you should expect it to for the price. It is a decent option for someone like me who kinda cares about how their car looks, but not that much.

There are three tiny scratches on my car that have been there since I first bought it. They have always bothered me. I bought this to try and minimize them. After applying, it doesn’t look perfect, but it does look much less noticeable than it did before.

Update: Received replacement pen quickly. Brush seems intact, and given the stellar customer service, I'm revising to 3 stars.

Partial update: The seller contacted me to offer a full refund AND a replacement, so I certainly can't fault the customer service. Hopefully it was just one faulty product, and I will update my review after receiving the replacement pen.

Original review: I am VERY UNHAPPY. I was using this to touch up my red car (duh). My son had done a number on it so the scraped up area was sizeable, requiring repeated passes with the pen. After 3 or 4 dips into the container, the brush part broke off completely, INTO the container, making it completely useless. To make things worse, when I tried to retrieve the brush, the paint spilled out, all over my garage and my feet. That's not the fault of the product, but it wouldn't have happened if the brush hadn't broken off. I'd give zero stars if I could!

I purchased this because it included the varnish pen and I was trying to hid a scratch I made on the wife’s car. This thing is like magic! Blended with the color magically. Was able to follow the instructions and eliminate the small scratches. I never used it on large scratches, just a little ding here and small 2” line there but it was perfect. Highly recommend to eliminate the look of scratches for minor dings.
