Simple, cheap, works!

An ethernet switch doesn't get any simpler than this. Just connect up the cables, plug in the 5V power supply and away it goes. The indicator lights simply indicate that a link exists (solid) and that data is transferring (blinking). There is no indication of what the link speed is (10/100/1000 Mbps). No matter for me, because the switch is installed down behind several other things, where I can't see it anyway. Appears to be very low power consumption because it doesn't get warm at all, even after a week of continuous operation

Great little network switch

Inexpensive, small and gets the job done. I've been using it for a month and I've had no problems with it. It's switching packets for about a dozen devices around the house. This little device is carrying a heavy load in my house... two xbox, apple TV, two iPads ,three iPhones, couple of laptops and the family PC all go through this little switch.

I haven't benchmarked it so I'm sure it isn't the best performing switch out there, but it gets the job done. It's very light, which makes it great for attaching to other devices - a single Command picture hanging velcro strip gets thte job done. I've attached it the back of my television to provide ethernet to the TV itself and the Roku that I also have attached to the back.

Before getting the Cudy GS105D, I had my modem from my cable company feeding my Belkin Router in the living room. Signal would always be dropping even when all devices were connected using ethernet- long story short, port capability did not function effectively. When I connected the Cudy, the difference was night and day!!!! Now I have just one modem routing internet connectivity to all my devices and signal has not dropped ever since!!!! Love it!!!
