This follows Zane and Noah (Rath).
Zane is one of the twins. He's the quiet, usually grumpy between the two. He thinks he might be ace and has never had any interest in anyone. He works construction during the week and as a dancer on the weekends.
Noah is a new co-worker on the construction crew. He's a larger guy and comes across as conversational, outspoken, and seemingly confident. He's helping his younger sister and her two children. They have moved away from their very religious family to escape the strict and outdated expectations. Trust me, his mother is horrible and emotionally abusive and manipulative. He also struggles with anxiety and depression and due to his family and their beliefs, he never got the correct help he needed to manage it.

A bet from their co-workers turns into a game of chicken between them. It starts out with a kiss that leaves them both confused and thinking about each other more than usual. It appears as dislike and anger for both of them. Noah thinks he's straight and Zane has never felt attraction before. As they start doing more, they start asking questions and trying to unravel the confusion. Zane thinks he might be demi instead of ace and Noah realizes he has always liked guys, but he had closed himself off to the possibility because of a form of conversion therapy he went through with a priest when he was younger.

I ate this book up. I loved Zane so much. He came across as grumpy and broody but really, he was just in his head and had trouble putting things into words. He was actually really sweet and thoughtful. Some things didn't occur to him when they should have, but he always owned up to them afterwards. Watching him navigate through feelings for the first time was beautiful. And my heart broke for Rath. His mother was terrible, and he struggled so much with his depression and anxiety. I felt a kinship with him in regard to the mental health and issues with doing just normal day to day things. His struggles to do things like just going to work were real.
It was so good. The relationship development was beautiful to me. They were both completely new to it all and stumbling their way through it. It felt real and raw.

I honestly good have read book after book about these two and loved each one just as much as the next. I didn't want this to end. I wanted to stay in their day-to-day life and follow them throughout it all.

But I am dying to read River's story. There is so much information dropped about him throughout this book that I feel feral having to wait for his story and hea.

4.0 out of 5 stars Zane and Noah!

I was eager for the twins story since meeting them in the first 2 books, and I enjoyed Zane's romance with Noah and cannot wait for River's story next! This was a really nice love story between 2 men who both had struggles to overcome and were really perfect for each other. What started out as a dare slowly turns into so much more, there are some hot encounters, there is friendship, tons of support and a found family that was great. These two together were so antagonistic with each other at first, which made for some very steamy times but once each man figured out exactly what was going on between them, they were so much more than just the physical. I also thought Noah's mental health struggles were handled really well and I loved how Zane was there for him. Bring on River's story next!

***Spoilers here and there***

I just couldn’t understand how River was always around when both Zane and Noah was having s*x. Like with every encounter they had with each other at the party or the club. He was always there. I think he enjoyed watching them.

Especially considering him always drawing picture of the guys in positions with the person they are dating or the other drawings he have done with the half naked.

I can’t wait to read his story next and how he will feel when he learn his feelings and stuff.

Plus I love him and Noah relationship as friends. Because I think they all needed each other in the end. Especially Zane and Noah!

I was glad finally see who was Noah was from he being mentioned in Nick book with Evan. It sucked how his mom treated him. Well more so his parents. It’s crazy people in real life actual stuff happens like that.

I was glad he decided to not go back and found himself. And not only that his sister found her someone to love her as well…

This book. This book had me feeling feelings. I absolutely loved Noah and Zane and their weird little 'gay chicken's at the beginning of this story. I had some mixed feelings in the beginning because all I wanted was for these two to realize how much they really cared for each other. Both experienced a major awakening to one another that shook them to the core, which they then explored throughout the rest of the book. It was so interesting to see these two guarded men start to drop their defenses in the physical sense... which then led to dropping mental and emotional barriers as well. I absolutely ate up every sweet, kind, and vulnerable moment between these two!

I think the biggest thing I wished for throughout the book was more communication and mental/emotional development between these two characters. We get a loooot of spice and physical connection, but all the rest came at the very end of the book, which was a bit disappointing because I loved these two so much and wanted more! Despite this, I feel like what was in the book made sense and still gave me butterflies and happy feels. I enjoyed every moment in this book (good, bad, and heartwrenching). 9/10 will definitely read again!
