5.0 out of 5 stars Become a guitar god!
Reviewed in the United States on December 21, 2014
This is an amazing app. I almost didn't buy it, because the price seemed ridiculously high for what you get, but I had a bunch of free Amazon coins laying around and I wanted to see why someone would charge so much for a slow downer. I have to say this developer needs to hire a new marketing group. I almost want to dock a star for how poorly this is presented--I would have bought it years ago if I knew what makes it better than all the other looping apps (which sell for $0.00 to $2.99, by the way).
First, this is the absolute worst name choice ever. The lack of imagination boggles me. I bet sales would quadruple if they named it something awesome, like "Guitar Pro" (too bad that's taken) or put something in the description like "This will make you a guitar god."
So you may be wondering what makes this app so special? Simple: it lets you take any mp3, adjust the pitch to whatever you want (great for those weirdos that play in A432 or other alternate pitches), and then lets you create and store loops of sections of the song, and then allows you to slow down any or all of those sections without changing pitch. So you can jump to any section and loop it for practice. But that's not all! It has a trainer, which will repeat the sections (or the whole song) a specified number of times, with the option of increasing the speed every so many loops. I have Guitar Pro on the computer and the kindle, songster, and various "slow down" apps, and this has helped my guitar playing the most. Heck, if they would have said the above in the description I would have bought it right away. Currently, I print out the tabs from Guitar Pro and then use this app to actually learn the song ;).
Don't let the poor marketing fool you--this app is worth the money if you are looking for the features I listed above.
I just have a few requests for the developers if they want to make this even better:
-Please allow me to re-arrange the loop order! It's not difficult, but I shouldn't have to recreate a loop to put it at the top.
-Why can't I save over/edit a loop? Again, it's super easy to create a new one, but deleting the old one is an unnecessary step.
-Manual entry of times. It is almost impossible to move the slider to an exact time. Currently, I just press pause at the right spot, but it would be nice to click on the time and type in the exact second I want.
The above are small complaints, and not enough to cause me to lower a star, but they would add that "polish" that would make this a first-class app. That and a name that doesn't sound like a 4th grader came up with it ;),

2.0 out of 5 stars Great app but disappointing support
Reviewed in the United States on November 8, 2022
I'm a musician and I use ASD the way a musician would: to help me practice difficult passages by slowing them down and gradually speeding up until I get to the appropriate speed. It worked great for that, up until now.

I haven't been able to use ASD lately because when I try to play a file, I get the message "Error 148. Please redo the complete unlocking instructions or contact Roni Music" I haven't a clue as to what the "complete unlocking instructions" are. I sent mail to [email protected] on Oct. 22 and haven't received anything back from them. I sent another message yesterday. I'm disappointed in their customer support and annoyed because now I can't use ASD. I wish I had a phone number for them.

5.0 out of 5 stars As a beginning singer, this is the most helpful tool for learning a song I've found yet.
Reviewed in the United States on February 14, 2015
Wow. This app really works great. It retains the pitch and the musical quality of the piano notes while varying the playing speed from 25% to 200%, Amazing.

As a beginning singer (1st year at a junior college, with no prior singing experience), one of the hardest things for me is "hearing" the notes well enough to even begin to attempt matching them. By slowing a song down to half speed, each note is extended enough that I have time to "hear" it and to (at least try to) lock onto it. This is the most helpful tool I've found yet to help me with my practice sessions. This is expensive for an app, but it's the best $15 I've spent in a long time. This is easily the most helpful tool for learning a new song I've found so far.

One minor issue: it's not always as perfect with some vocals as it is with piano notes. I don't know what makes the difference, but some voices get a little "choppy" (for lack of a better term) at times. Not an issue for me, as it's the piano notes I care about. And as I said, this is minor even when it happens.

    Good work, Roni!
    HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !.

5.0 out of 5 stars Useful for music practice, also great audio player (with folder/file navigation)
Reviewed in the United States on July 18, 2015
After a little research, I decided to buy this app, even though I'd not need it very often on my android device. I'm glad I did.

It turns out that it does it's main function very well, which is independently changing tempo and key of recordings.

It also enables you to disable the DSP processing so you can use it as a simple audio player. This is especially nice because it offers some best-in-class cueing so you can load longer recordings (like of rehearsals, or longer podcasts) and have no trouble cueing up the exact location you want. Also, you can program the FF and REW buttons to go ahead/back (respectively) by a user-set amount of time on a tap, or hold to cue as expected. AND, you can browse folders/files rather than mp3 tags (which is my preferred method).

One of my favorite amazon app purchases so far.
