Functions exactly as described and easy to use

I had to use this for a while when I was using a motherboard without onboard Bluetooth and it was an inexpensive but entirely adequate solution until I could get a different motherboard. Yes, it takes up a USB slot, but that can easily be circumvent with a hub if you need that many slots. Otherwise, this should do exactly what you need it to do for however long you need. Just don’t lose it, as it’s quite small and I can easily see someone never being able to find it if they drop it somewhere.

Drops connection with some devices

Using in living room with media/gaming pc. Connected Logitech mouse and keyboard, which work great with it. Connected X-box controller. Worked great. Connected a Gulikit KingKong 2 game controller, and it would drop connection intermittently to the Gulikit. Disconnected the XBox controller, tried two Gulikit KK2 controllers. They would intermittently drop during use.

Replaced it with an older BT 4.0 dongle by TP-Link, and the problems went away. All devices maintain a rock solid connection. This may be something specific with the Gulikit KK2 controllers and this BT receiver. I have no way of knowing. But those controllers work perfectly with the TP-Link and also work flawlessly with a Nintendo Switch. So whatever the incompatibility is, I’m chalking it up to the receiver. Your mileage may vary. Also, note the peculiar 5 device limit in the documentation. Not something I’ve seen on other BT dongles.

I did not need technical support so I did not rate for that. I plugged it in, went into settings and bluetooth, added the device, and it paired and played. The sound is just as good as when I tested with a wired connection.

Does not work with Linux

I just want others to know so they don’t make the same mistake I did and over look the compatibility. It does not work with any of the distros I’ve tried, Ubuntu variations, Debian variations. It works perfect for windows 10 so, make sure you know what you are going to use it for.

These days you have Bluetooth everything. My partner wanted to wear his Aftershokz headphones while playing games on his old HP desktop, it was purchased second hand and likely was once used in business, or you guessed it no Bluetooth adapter built in. Plug this in and windows picked it up right away and he was in business. Great item. ????
