    I wasn't loosing any sleep over it, but my new induction range with its beautiful glass top, felt like a too-often source of concern every time anything was set on it. I love that I can now use it as a serving or prep surface when not cooking. I love that when something too hot comes out of the overhead microwave and gets set down quickly, I'm not cringing with worry over the inevitable scratches.

    It's not a beautiful object, but I do actually love it!
