About this item

CLEAN CLOTHES IN YOUR SMALL SPACE - With a compact and lightweight design, the Deco Home Portable 250W Washing Machine makes doing laundry in your small space possible! Perfect for apartments, dorm rooms, bathrooms, and RVs, this mini washing machine can save trips to the laundromat | VIDEO TUTORIAL: Be sure to watch our video on how to properly use this washing machine, including how to pack the spin drum.
SMALL STATURE, BIG POWER - Using a powerful 250W motor, clothes are washed efficiently and fast using the detergent of your choice. Like larger household machines, the repetitive action of agitation and fast moving water combined with soap helps to remove dirt and stains, leaving you fresh laundry. With a transparent lid, you can watch it all happen. A Low Agitation Spin Cycle spin helps to dry your clothes without heat and helps to prevent stretching, tearing, or other damage to clothing items.
ADJUSTABLE CONTROLS - Simple controls streamline an already fast process that doesn’t take any longer than 15 minutes. Set your clothes to wash or go through a light agitation spin cycle from 3 to 15 minutes, depending on the clothes you are trying to wash. We recommend washing up to 4.4 lb of clothes (8.8 lb when wet). Ensure that you do not exceed this weight in clothing and to pack the spin cycle drum evenly.
EASY CLEANUP - Emptying the washing machine is easy! Attached to each unit is a flexible drainage hose that can be extended or bent to hang over your bathtub or sink. Down the drain goes the dirty water, and you’re left with clean fresh smelling laundry!
READY FOR ANYTHING - No installation is required! As long as you have access to a wall outlet and a place to drain your dirty water, this compact washing machine can be used anywhere! This washing machine is ETL certified.
DO NOT OVERFILL - This compact washer is intended to allow you to wash your clothes in spaces where a full-size machine won't fit, do not fill and treat this machine as a full-size washer. Follow the provided guidelines/weight limits and this washing machine will clean your clothes with ease!
HOW MANY CLOTHES CAN I FIT IN THE WASHING MACHINE? - The max washing weight capacity is 4.4 lbs (8.8 lbs wet) and the max spin capacity is 4.4 lb. Before using a spin cycle to help dry your clothes, wring out your clothes to remove excess water. Use the following guidelines for determining the amounts of clothing to wash: 8 UNDERWEAR, 30 SOCKS, 4 BLUEJEANS, 5 T-SHIRTS.

2 in 1 washing and drying machine is very convenient
The washing machine is very nice and compact, the rotation is strong, washes all dirty clothes out, I often wear white shirts, white shirts are easy to get coffee and dirt on, the washing machine makes my clothes white and fragrant, the dryer helps. It dries if you dry the thin fabric that fills the drying basket. If you have elastic clothes, you will dry them 2 times and dry them twice. For 1 jeans, will dry them once

I got one like this about 20 years ago, and I liked it. Went to retrieve it, but alas, the inner tub was shattered. Probably my fault for storing it out in the open. These type of washers are not that much harder to use than a full size washer. They both take the drudgery out of washing clothes, which is the agitation part.
Spring, Summer, Fall, I take it to the backyard and fill it with a garden hose. Bonus: I'm watering the grass with the discharge water. Winter, I'll put it in the bathtub and fill it with a bucket.
All new washers come with impeller plates anyway, instead of the fins, due to new Government regulations for water conservation.
I wouldn't fiddle with that little spinner bucket. Just get a real spinner like I did and you'll be golden.

It came many days late. Hooked it up & put three towels in to give them a wash. It ran for about 5-8 minutes, then it just stoped. I came back here to look for real instructions and they are vague here. Then it mentions a brake for the motor to event overheating. Did it? Is it? How does one reset it? What does one do in the event this happens? Anyone? Consult the manual… the manual? Not a word in the itty bitty little booklet that came along. Useless manual. So… now waiting to see if the machine resets, turns off its brake, or what happens next. Plug out? I’m disappointed so far. I will update this if I do not return it.

I have had this portable washer for a while now and washed 5 or more loads in it. It took me forever to choose the model I wanted and I am glad I chose this one.

It works very much as represented and has been cleaning my clothes well. I've always had my own laundry room with full size machines and haven’t loved the laundromat ever since I started renting a place without one. I’ve never owned or used a portable machine.

I’ll summarize how it works for me, and some points that particularly reference what other reviews said below:

No assembly required, out of the box it was in pristine shape and ready to use. It is also very light and easy to move for storage. I keep mine in a closet and pull it out as needed.

It uses a gravity drain and read that it drains best if you elevate it, but everything I could think of to raise it up was either too much money or too big to store. A sturdy waterproof chair could work but my place is super small and all I have are small stools and couches. I ended up getting a square 4” plastic step, meant to help people with limited mobility manage a single entryway step and using that, it drains well. It drains ona flat surface as well just but as quickly which is frustrating between cycles. Plus, I sometimes use mine in the shower stall so having it raised keeps pooled water from the drain from getting near the cord.

I wish the power cord were longer, I needed an extension cord. Not a huge deal but kitchens and baths tend to have counter height cords I feel like they should have thought of that. Be sure to get a waterproof/outdoor quality extension cord.

The drainage hose is adequate, not super heavy duty so be gentle. I keep it taped to the side because I was worried it might be shaken off the hook that holds it during use and that would result in all the water flying out of it as it falls.

The fill hose is useless. Use a bucket. There are some recommended heavier duty fill hoses on the amazon listing that could work too but somehow the bucket feels faster.

In general, between filling, draining, wringing out clothes etc there will be water splashed—more so by “you” than the machine-- so drape a towel on the floor.

You can fit way more in it to wash than you can to spin dry in the metal basket. Be prepared to spin dry a larger load in a few rounds. A lot of people complained about the shaking during the spin but once I got the hang of it, it was not an issue. Don’t over fill it the spin basket, wring the clothes out first and spread them out as opposed to leaving in a “ball.”

For reference, and as in the video attached (which shows the machine in a spin cycle):

I washed (2) XL men’s T shirts, (2) women’s tank tops, (2) pairs of mens L fleece shorts (3) mens briefs and (2) pairs of women’s socks in one load right easily. If you find it is not churning correctly during the wash cycle, add more water. The clothes have to have enough water to swish around in.

The spin cycle you see in the video is one part of the above load: one T shirt, one tank and 2 briefs. I spun a few items at a time like this for only 3 minutes each. Everything was hung to dry after that and was dry by the next day.

Took me a few loads of practice to get the detergent right—you really do not need a lot and it’s best to use liquid. I add it to the bucket before I fill with the water I’ll use to fill it initially so it’s already a little sudsy before I even start to machine.

If you do happen to over-soap, just do an extra rinse cycle and change out the water halfway.

Yes, you can wash jeans in there-but only one pair at a time and it won’t fit in the spin basket so be prepared to wring it out well if you ever want it to dry. I roll the wet jeans in a clean towel and press/step on it and it does an excellent job wringing them out. Jeans dry overnight inside or in a few hours if you hang them in the sun.

I have not washed sheets or towels in there. I imagine 1-2 bath towels would fit in the but even just one would not fit in the spin basket. A set of queen sheets could probably fit for washing but again, not to spin. For me, sheets are too big for me to want them hanging all over my tiny apartment overnight to dry anyway. My solution is to have plenty of spare sets of sheets to change the bed and go to the laundromat with only dirty sheets and towels and a few other heavy items once a month.

Overall my clothes seem to be as clean as they would be in a regular washing machine. I generally wash loads with just a few undergarments for 3-6 minutes and larger mixed loads l like I described above for 9-12 minutes. Then it’s equal time repeated for the rinses (same as a wash cycle but you use fresh water and no soap) and in the case of this example load, I also did three spin cycles at 3 minutes each. You can skip that altogether if you like.

Yes, it takes longer than a regular machine. The example load took 45 minutes or so all in with set up etc but I didn’t have to leave the house or spend money and got to work on my laptop and make lunch while the machine did its thing.

I did not have any of the issues some others mentioned such as: scratches on the machine upon opening, the cycles stopping before time was up or overheating and needing to give the unit a rest. Also, when it washes it barely vibrates at all (some reported it shook a lot) as long as the clothes aren’t clumped up (if so, just open it and redistribute. Same applies of it won't churn the clothes in a wash cycle)

Overall I am very happy with the purchase and am glad to have this option to wash clothes at home

Is this going to replace your full sized washer? Absolutely not. Can you do a full sized load of laundry in here? No. Not even close. But, will it save you from trips to the laundry mat? Absolutely!

You get what you pay for, and in my case I paid for a cheap, small washer to use after mine unexpectedly broke down. Doing laundry was more of a chore, and more time consuming after using this - But I had clean clothes, and didn't have to leave the house to do my laundry.

It gets your clothes plenty clean, and is fairly simple to use: Keep it on a level surface, throw your clothes in, and fill it with water. Then set it to your preferred time, and you're good to let it do it's thing.

The hardest part of the machine is it's spin function. The inner basket is much smaller than a typical load will be, and it is time consuming to transfer your laundry back and forth, spin it multiple times, and then finally put it up to dry (or put it in your dryer, if you have one). The spin cycle works plenty well and your clothes do get wrung out very decently, but it is a time consuming process.

Overall, this light weight portable washing machine is perfect for emergencies. It is also ideal for camping, or vanlifers.
