The Best Software and High Quality Hardware

Ordered this to start making Youtube videos and stream on Twitch occasionally. When I got the microphone I downloaded the Wave Link application on my computer and that's what separates this mic from the other USB mics on the market. I did a lot of research before ordering this mic and Razer makes the only other mic with a program similar to wave link, but it was known for being more buggy.

What is wave link? Well, it's a free Elgato application you can download from their website where you can link all of your applications and games on your pc. You can add different filters where you can customize the sounds as well as edit the volume of each individual application. For example while streaming I can control how loud each application (spotify, video game and my voice) is in relation to each other. Not only for the people watching the stream but also I can separately adjust the sound I am hearing in my headphones. An example where this would come up is if I want to hear only my game but the stream chat would like to hear Spotify I can turn the Spotify off in my headphones while leaving it on for the viewers.

Now for the microphone itself, it feels high quality for sure. The tap to mute works flawlessly and is amazing to have if you plan on streaming or even just using it to chat. When the mic is muted it illuminates a red circle around the adjustable knob on the front. All in all between the features on the mic and the wave link you will be able to make this mic sound really good with a lot of perks other mics do not come with.

My downsides for the mic are things I have for many other mics as well. The original stand is too close to the table and doesn't have a shock mount so you have to be careful not to tap the table too hard or type too hard as you will hear the vibrations. I also would like some kind of pop filter either the foam cover or screen that goes in front of the mic. Elgato also sells a shock mount for this mic. I have ordered the pop filter screen and a boom arm in hopes to fix these few issues.

All in all if you're looking for a USB mic I would say this is the one to get for sure! The Wave Link alone would be good reason but the microphone itself is also very high quality to the touch and sounds amazing!

I've went through at least three plug-and-play microphones in the past five-ish years, and I can absolutely say this is the top of the food chain. The included software feels like I should have paid a premium just for that alone, then the microphone itself on a boom arm makes my voice sound crystal clear.

The only downside I've experienced so far is a terrible lack of noise cancellation--HOWEVER, the included Wave Link software includes a Noise Cancellation plug-in that can virtually eliminate all background noise that is picked up, and still maintain a great quality of sound with my voice (minus the loss of beginning consonants of sentences).

I still feel like the value here is the best you'll get out of any microphone at this price point. If you're on the fence between this or the HyperX Quadcast or a Blue Yeti, I'd recommend this before any of those.

Good but not great

I have been using this Mic for a while now and can for the life of me not get it to work as well as others, I have tried many users settings and it just sound good, but not great.
The software can be very confusing so I recommend watching some tutorials on YouTube especially if you're in their streaming products ecosystem, but overall it does do what it says, and works well for the price.

If I were to purchase again I would go for the XLR and go that route.

Better Than My All-In-One Gaming Headset

I love this thing, it was simple to use without even installing the software for it. Just worked out of the box. I used to have a gaming headset with sometimes dubious mic quality and everyone now tells me I sound great. I have this mic sitting out of the way on the far end of my desk and it still sounds perfect. This allowed me to upgrade to a really nice pair of Sennheiser HD 599's which don't have a mic and not have to fiddle with it. Love it! Recommend this to all people who hate fiddling with microphones, it can be so easy with a little investment.
