Unclutter Your Soul was / is a God send!

I absolutely loved every word in this book. I have poured into it and it has been salve for my soul. I especially enjoyed the Create Space at the end of each chapter. Having the Meditate, Reflect, and Act portions helped me to soak up what I had just read, to allow it to seep in and then discover how to apply it to my situation - or daily life. Trina McNeilly is gifted with the written word, and it feels like we are sitting on a comfy couch with a cup of hot tea or coffee, and just chatting, conversing. A friend who has been there, done that, and is helping my to move through it too. - Tina

Stuck?
Reviewed in the United States on February 19, 2023
If you are stuck in the way you respond to situations or the way you view yourself, this book is for you. After decades of asking, “What’s wrong with me? Why does this always happen to me? Why can’t I get this right?”, I have finally found a resource that is helping me pinpoint the heart of my issues.
The author could be my soul twin. Her journey into her inner self to understand the responses of her outer self is helping me unravel my own inner tangles. Using the analogy of a cluttered house, offers a step by step roadmap to observing our selves, recognizing patterns of behavior, and following the tangle to discover the core false beliefs built on lies we tell ourselves to escape pain. Then she shows us how to target the lies and create new patterns of thought to replace the old. The work is humbling, at times painful, but worth the time and effort. I’m only halfway through the book and eager for more.
Heads up…the author’s healing process includes sitting still, being an observer of our actions and thoughts, prayer, scripture, and time. If you are looking for a quick fix or secular approach, this book may still give you insights, but won’t be fully beneficial.

Slow and Easy
Reviewed in the United States on March 23, 2022
I have been a little under the weather the past couple of weeks. That's the only reason I didn' give it 5 stars. Haven't completed it yet! It is a book that needs to be taken slow and easy. Soaking in the thoughts, the challenges and discovering how to allow the new insights to help discover areas of new growth within ourselves. Can't wait to slow down, curl up with a good cup of coffee and really dive in. From the very first chapters I could see this will NOT be an EASY read, but one that will take us to new places in our journey if we are willing to go!

Beautifully written - practical, helpful and insightful

Once again, Trina shows us through her beautiful writing and personal anecdotes, how to move through and past what is holding us back, overwhelming us and causing us to live smaller lives than the ones we were created for. She beckons us to join her in letting go of the clutter and pursue freedom. With practical questions and reflection opportunities, Trina gave me the tools I needed to do the work and understand myself more clearly. Her warm encouragement is like a friend putting their arms around you and walking with you through the overwhelm, and into the light. I highly recommend this book and the process Trina guides readers through!

God’s Perfect Timing

Two years ago my mom moved to heaven. A few months later the covid lockdown happened and a friend shared info on a still life class. I decided to take the class and realized I didn’t really have the type of props needed for the class. That is what triggered my love of thrift store shopping for a purpose. Flash forward to the past few months when I realized that I’m not quite a hoarder but two of my rooms are in chaos and the light bulb went on that I had used thrifting as retail therapy to cope with my grieving for my mom. I started reading all of these books on organizing my home. So.Many.Books. So I started sorting things into Keep, Donate, Trash piles when I unpacked a box that had something that triggered a painful reminder of something from the past. Shortly afterwards, I received an email devotion that was written by Trina based on Unclutter Your Soul. Well, I knew this book was meant for me. I have a lot of hard stuff I need to unpack and deal with and I love Trina’s openness in what she has gone through to get to this point of helping others.

Love the book, but the ink was smeared on some of the pages making it unreadable. Returning for a replacement.

A "Must Read" for Those Tired of Simply Struggling to Survive
Reviewed in the United States on July 14, 2022
This book is a “must read” for those who are tired of struggling to simply survive life’s circumstances. Trina’s imagination, subtle humor, empathy and transparency in sharing her own story of survival is refreshing and sends a clear message to the reader that there is hope, they are not alone, and they are loved.
Although I knew this book was not really about Spring cleaning, it initially inspired me to do a bit of “uncluttering” around the house. Surprisingly, success in this area, motivated me to begin tackling the real clutter…hurts, fears and demands I had placed on myself that had taken up residency in my life. Walking with Trina through each step of this journey, as she calls it, has helped me learn how to let go of “stuff.” And, in doing so, my soul has found healing and the space and freedom to really live again.
