About this item

FLY CONTROL: Flies are lured into the flytrap and drowned by a superpowerful bait with an irresistible odor that is effective for numerous species, catching up to 20,000 flies!
FAST ACTING: uses an attractant bait that flies can’t resist. Lured by the scent, flies enter the trap through the cap and drown in the water. safest and most effective pest control solution
SAFE BAIT: The fly catcher Non-Toxic bait is safe around children and pets, composed of food-grade ingredients without any poisons or chemicals
USER-FRIENDLY: To use, remove the cap of the bottle and fill it with water up to the fill line. Open the bait bag and pour its contents into the bottle. Then, use the included wire to hang the trap outside near a fly source.
OUTDOORS USE ONLY: Flies are enamored with the strong odor, but you are best off far away. Use only outdoors and hang at least 20 feet away from outdoor sitting areas.
TIPS: Set up the fly trap 5 hours before you want it to be effective. In hot weather, the water may dry out, requiring more water refills.
FLY ELIMINATION: Our trap eliminates common fly species, including Cluster, Lance, Secondary Screwworm, Flesh, False Stable, Blowflies etc.
REPLACEMENT: Avoid handling dead flies or cleaning the trap without gloves. When the outdoor fly trap becomes full, you can either discard it along with the trapped flies or clean it and replace the bait with a new one for reuse.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good stink, good results!!

These are durable little bait traps! When paired with the right bait, they do a great job of reducing your fly population! Yes it stinks, that’s the secret sauce. Yes it’s messy to dispose of, what else do you expect when throwing out thousands of moist, dead flies? But it’s so great not constantly fighting a swarm of these things on your patio or in your food!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome. Reuse at your own risk. 48 hours caught hundreds hovering at my back door.
Reviewed in the United States on June 9, 2024
It is nice that they can be reused, but no way will I be doing anything except replacing them. The bait itself isn't necessarily a bad smell, but when you fill it with hundreds of poo eating rotting fly carcasses it smells horrid. The flies leave poo specks on the white top as well. Flies carry disease, as if eating poo isn't bad enough. I do not plan to expose myself to them by attempting to reuse these. Because of that I wish the size was bigger. Never planned on catching so many. I used my first two for 48 hours and wound up with more dead flies than liquid bait in the bottom of the jars. I bagged them and waited two days for any live ones to die. I dumped them into a ziploc container just to show my mother...eww. I use Terro for ants which is great. Curious if you could use a 1 gallon water jug to save some money. The flies get in and really can't get out so the container style definitely works. Just worried that if you give them too much extra room they might be able to get back out. The bait is only about an inch of the bottom of the container. The rest of the space I assume appears inviting giving them a slight sense of security. I might try to cut a hole in the bottom of one of these and place it over the neck of a 1 gallon water jug. I will try to use one packet of bait at first. Other than that, these traps are good quality and definitely worth the cost. One tiny drawback, the more you kill, it appears the more that show up to the party. I started with putting a trap where the problem was at my back door and then when I replaced it I moved it slightly farther away. I did read that if you kill one female you can effectively prevent 100-200 more from being born. Although many species, the ones I mainly see have an approx lifespan of 30 days. As long as none of those 30 days are spent flying around outside my back door or sneaking into my house I am absolutely thrilled with this product and tell everyone about it. I would give it 6 stars if I could!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Worked like a charm.

Hung one up around my rabbit cages and I got a ton of flies, it really depleted the fly population. I highly recommend adding the water and powder outside of the house because it smells like rotting meat. Great product that worked really well otherwise and would totally buy again.

4.0 out of 5 stars Product works to well

Pros: attracts flies and traps them well....reuseable assembly easy
Cons: odor...attracts more flies then ever....messy disposal
Recommendation: post so flies are drawn away from door or patio cause they will fly in front ....over your head anyway they can get to this funky smelling container to get trapped...it works but it draws more flies then you ever have seen

5.0 out of 5 stars Super Fly Magnet
Reviewed in the United States on September 16, 2024
I bought this originally to try to catch a big black horsefly. Apparently, it left before I had a chance to capture it with the fly magnet. This thing is great if you have flies. I didn't really have a fly problem, but it seems that it has captured all of the flies in the county. Now there are baby flies inside, because so many flies were attracted to it that maggots are now residing inside eating all of the flies that are caught. I'm trying to figure out how to discard this thing. Next time I have a BBQ, I'll hang one of these several feet away.

Pros: it works really well because it smells like a big dead rat
Cons: none

I purchased this because for the first time ever I had kudzu bugs appear and nothing else helped so I was trying anything.
I didn’t have any flies around my house.
But they started coming for this.
Container was full in a week.
Downside is the packet is dried fish and after you add water it’s a bad fishy smell 20-30 feet around it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very effective, smells like death
Reviewed in the United States on August 5, 2024
I bought this a couple of weeks ago to get rid of flies that have been swarming. Quickly got rid of about 90% of them! However (after two weeks), it's half full of flies and smells like death. Seriously, I thought an animal was dead in my backyard it smelled so bad. There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY I will open that up to reuse that jar. Wore a mask, gloves, cut that thing down and dumped the entire thing into the garbage. The next one will go up tomorrow morning. Very happy with my purchase. Just know that the rotting smell is coming from the jar, nothing else.

4.0 out of 5 stars Stinks like rotting chicken manure but works
Reviewed in the United States on August 13, 2024
I bought this after my summer fly problem got out of hand and my neighbor vouched for it, with the caveat that the bait stinks like rotting chicken poop.

My neighbor was right on all counts.

This jar catches flies. I’ve had it out for an afternoon and so far there are at least six flies in there.

However, it stinks like rotting chicken poop. You only smell it up close so it’s manageable. But yuck.

The other stuff: easy to assemble, seems sturdy enough, serves its purpose.

So whether you should buy this depends on your tolerance for the smell of rotting chicken poop. That is your call.
