I have been using the Thermacell unit for several years to combat the mosquitoes. This year the unit was put to the test. There have been storms and laying water for weeks. The mosquitoes are horrible but I have been able to be outside with the units running. The refills are convenient, easy to use and were a better price than I have paid in the past.

Perfect match and at a great price. My wife swears it works to control mosquitoes, I’m not so sure, but a small price to make her happy.

I used to use the Off lanterns until they were taken out of production, but I find Thermacel even more effective. They are expensive, and they don't give you quite as much time with each pad as they claim, however, I live in the country amid mosquitoes aplenty. With what's happening these days, I do recommend that you combine these lanterns with some Deet spray, either Off or Repel.

So far, this has been the only mosquito repellent that has actually worked. I am using 2 of the Thermacell devices on my balcony. of course, this makes this a quite pricey solution, but still better than getting eaten alive by those darn buggers.

This is by far the best mosquito repellent we've used while sitting on our patio. It radiates a good 10' x 10'area which allows us to enjoy sitting outdoors with friends and family.

I like to sit outside during the evenings but tend to be a mosquito magnet. Another part of my family bought a different style of this product and loved it so I tried this one (M300? Not right near it to check. 15’ radius). I only need small space coverage and this does the trick. Not sure I would recommend it for use while moving around like hiking. I can’t see how you stay inside that 15 foot bubble if you’re constantly moving. But just setting it on a table and staying within the 15 foot range works great. I can move to my grill and chairs and stuff with no problem. It has made a huge difference in my enjoyment of the outdoors. The refills can get expensive, but there’s usually some size and quantity on sale, so just pay attention to what you’re buying and it’s well worth the price.
