5.0 out of 5 stars A solid camera with a great APS-C sensor
Reviewed in the United States on January 18, 2015
Update: Price has jumped back up to "normal" ($489 or so). I am so glad, saves me from the temptation of buying my third NX-20, ha ha. Seriously, it's a good value at that price. It was an absolute steal at the lower price. Body and the excellent 18-55mm OIS lens, wow.

This is my second NX-20 -- at the current low price ($325) it's just too good a deal to pass up. Especially if you already have a good set of NX lenses. I shoot mostly landscapes and street stuff and this is an excellent camera for those purposes. It has a great feel in the hand, excellent controls, solid build quality, and all around great operation. The newer models (e. g. NX-30) are better...but at less than half the cost, not that much better (unless you shoot a lot of action stuff, maybe). The Samsung lenses are an exceptional value in terms of quality for the price paid. The 18-55mm OIS lens included here (with hood) is very good and a great "kit" lens to get with your body. The Samsung controls are the best, in my opinion, with the iFn button and lens ring being a great innovation. I can say without hesitation that this is an exceptional value at the current price and a superb camera (I paid more than twice as much for my first one!).

For those who might not know, the APS-C sensor in this camera is excellent and the color and detail in images is superb. For the price of a good compact P&S you will be taking a huge step up in image quality (IQ). For someone looking to step up to the next level in their photography, this mirror-less ILC would be an excellent choice.

Note: If you are into landscapes, get the outstanding Samsung NX 16mm f/2.4 pancake lens and have a blast. It's also an extremely good value and has excellent image quality for the price. It's a lot of fun to shoot with and I have gotten some great images with it. (I have reviewed it here on Amazon also.)

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome camera

This is the first time that I have spent overt $100 on a camera. When I started shopping around I found this one. I wasn't very familiar with Samsung and didn't know they made digital cameras. I read the reviews on here from others who bought it. The description contained everything I was looking for in a new camera. The screen on the back is huge and the picture on it is amazing. I found I can buy old Canon lenses and buy an adaptor to make it fit this camera. As you can tell, I am not a camera nut. I don't know a lot about them but I can tell you this camera is everything I was looking for and a great price. All my pictures look amazing. The wifi option is awesome. I can email pictures from my camera or even share on social media. I look forward to a summer filled with sports with my son because I will be ready to capture every photo I can.

2.0 out of 5 stars More issues all the time
Reviewed in the United States on April 26, 2015
Nx20 is not a current model. But this one has been cranky. I loose pictures all the time on the stick to a file error. I went to the web site and tried to email support for help. I think they make to many things and a not good at it. I own other items 72" tv and HD cam from Samsung that all have quirks. Compare to the apple phones and HP desk and lap top I have they are perfect compared to Samsung's lack luster issues. The all share is hard to work. I did at one time have the camera set up to wifi to the computer it stopped. The HD video camera ha a jumpy pictue in the view box and it shows up on the video.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing , and fustrating.

We ordered this camera twice, the first one had packareing issues the second would not allow us to remove the cap that covered the lense receiving hole in the body ov the camera. We spoke to a Samsung representative and they we un able to comprehend the difference between the cap that goes over the hole and the lense cap. His question to me was after five minutes was "Have you tried to remove the lense cap?" At that point my twelve year old who was listening in got up and left the room shaking his head and said to me "Send it back it must be junk." You can't argue with that.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Camera

Many cool features. I like articulated LCDs (Yes, I know this is AMOLED). The EVIL works fine. The quality of the APS-C sensor is good. I like the remote viewfinder option, though I wish it worked with video and not just stills. I do wish the shutter was quieter. For not having to move a mirror around it still manages to make a fair amount of noise, but then I won't be happy until I have a camera that is completely silent. I really hate noise (especially shutter noise.) when I use a camera. Otherwise Pretty much what I've been looking for, better than my Pentax K-x.

Did I mention I like articulated LCD's? I can't emphasize that enough, plus mirrorless magnifies the effective magnification of lenses, with a smaller body while still looking like a dslr. How cool is that? Not a perfect camera, true... but excellent for the price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Glad I Made This Purchase

After reading a whole lot of reviews on this camera on Amazon, I decided to make a purchase and even better, got it on a deal... Less than half off. Yay me!
I'm not a techie, all I know is a good photo when I see one. I needed a good camera for beauty blogging. I did not want a DSLR that would take me ages to figure out. Just something really simple that I could use as is or edit settings if I figured out how.
This camera has a SMART mode which has been doing a great job of figuring out the best settings to shoot a photo in.
The images have been crisp and stunning!
The wireless feature is pure genius, uploading to my phone has been seamless. Just download the app and you're good to go.
I love how you get a short explanatory preview on each setting, helps me out a lot as I know next to nothing about photography.
    I love it so far.
