The SAMSUNG 28-Inch ViewFinity UR55 Series 4K UHD IPS Computer Monitor has been an amazing addition to my setup, especially since I got it discounted at $200. The crystal-clear text and vivid picture quality are outstanding, making it hard to go back to anything below 4K.

Although it lacks some features like a built-in TV or remote control that my 2024 Samsung curved monitor has, the image quality on this 4K monitor surpasses even my very modern 2K curved Samsung monitor. The bezelless design and eye care features add to the overall experience, making this monitor a clear value for the price. I’m thoroughly impressed and really love it so far.

I've had the monitor for a couple of weeks, and overall I think it is a really great monitor for the price. If you need a gaming monitor, you are likely not even considering this one, but for work applications, that need a lot of monitor real estate for a price that is not budget-crushing...this should be a top consideration.

Pros:
Superb picture quality (Once settings are dialed in)
Nice overall look, thin bezel
The stand that comes with it works well for my needs (it is compact and holds monitor still)

Cons:
Settings to get the look dialed in, took considerable trial and error...mostly error. Out of the box, with my Mac Mini, it was ridiculously dim. I mean, I thought I must have gotten a lemon it was so dim. Several days of trying different settings on both my Mac and the monitor, and I finally got exactly what I was looking for.
I've been through many monitors and I have never experiences this much difficulty getting the correct settings. Your milage may vary, and you may like the look out of the box....I did not.
Everyone's setup is different, so I won't bother with my final settings, just suffice it to say...you will likely have to experiment some, but persiverence will be rewarded with a stout visual experience.

I read in the reviews where some felt the monitor stand was weak and lacked in adjustment options. I don't agree on the weakness part. I type with enthusiasm, and it does not move one bit for me, but I do have a fairly solid desk.

I agree in the lack of adjustment options. Can toggle front and backward, and toggle on left right axis. That is it. No height adjustment.

I took off one star for the amount of time I had to spend adjusting settings
Overall, I am very happy with the finished product

I bought two of these on sale at Best Buy to use as ECAD monitors and liked them enough that I bought this one for my wife's computer. I can now zoom in on circuit boards and schematics and still have the parts on the screen I want to see. Side-by-side, they aren't so big that I have to rotate my neck back and forth much. My wife didn't really care but I like how much I can get on the screen when I use her computer for web browsing. I can't comment on its gaming capabilities as I don't play them. Color is great and response is good for my use. No quality issues in the 6+ months I have owned them.

Samsung products have been good choices for us for decades. My wife of 59 years has vision problems, and this new monitor was a special Christmas surprise to connect to her Microsoft tablet.
We downloaded the instructions on how to handle and set it up and began the process the afternoon of the 25th.
The assembly of the stand was quick and easy with the stand being a quality product. The Samsung shipping carton uses Styrofoam frames to nest the monitor from both front and back. We did notice loose particles and pieces of foam in the open box. The monitor itself is wrapped in a protective soft plastic material that we could lift up and see the back, note all the receptacles etc. everything looked good.
We lifted the monitor out of the carton and sat it on its stand and immediately saw that the bottom trim was sticking out from right corner to the center. After running a live test, we determined that the damage took out the middle of the screen which always remained black. A completely failed Christmas surprise. Why did this happen because an untrained or otherwise Wearhouse person loaded the monitor into a much larger box with ZERO PACKING. Why does this matter because a 5" thick monitor box in a 13" deep box will bang up and down and with a 3" shorter length bang back and forth. Note both the shipping carton and the Samsung boxes were unharmed, yet the Monitor was severely damaged. Why would it ship in a much larger box maybe for security, camouflage, all well and good except why would not be protected from motion with some kind of packing, air pillows come regularly from Amazon but in this case NOTHING. We immediately repacked it exactly as received. Follow the excellent Amazon directions for return using the UPS pick up method as our only choice since we do have a smart telephone. One day later UPS picked it up but the problem for us was Amazon stated you must ship it back in the shipping carton it came in so is that with no packing causing even more damage. We do not have any packing material but do have waste rigid foam insulation so properly supported the Monitor box in the center of the large shipping carton so that it could no longer move within the original carton. Amazon train your Wearhouse packers their failure sure spoiled our Christmas surprise.

The features and price are good and the operation is great.
However, I can't tell the difference from Full HD. The difference is very small.
But I'm using it well.

A cheap monitor that's 32", 4k, and has two inputs for picture by picture (pbp) capability. I use it for work and home; i do a split screen between a laptop and desktop and the 32" 4k gives me enough real estate for apps.
It's really cheaply made though, you need to be aware of that. The frame around the screen was not fully seated and a small section was cracked.
There was a small defect in the middle of the screen, like a small bubble on the plastic overlay, but no dead pixels.
I had to turn off the ambient lighting detection feature and crank up the brightness to get it to looks good.
Again, this is a good review - the screen was cheap and fit my needs, therefore all the stars.
