I think in order to make these ductless recirculating you have to get the circle carbon filter that would fit and attach it to sides of the blower.
Yes, the instructions are not for the unit that i ordered but i was able to install it. Overall works great, a bit to loud even in the lowest setting.

First of all, I've ordered hundreds of items over the years and installed all of them myself. I can truthfully say that this instruction manual is the poorest I've ever seen. It was obviously not written for an American audience (mm vs. inches is a clue), but most importantly it was written by someone who has not mastered the English language. Most paragraphs make no sense and use terminology that is not explained or referenced. The drawing diagrams for each "Figure" are tiny and don't represent the actual product. There is no mention of a "ductless" option -- the main reason I ordered the product. There is no mention of a charcoal filter, which provides the function for a ductless option. The item itself appears to be well made and may even work, but I didn't get that far in the installation process, due to the aforementioned missing options. If you will vent to the outside the item (btw, the manual calls it an "organism") may work for you. If you want ductless, try something else!

It Is an inexpensive range hood but it works ... sort of.
#1 It is NOT quiet at all!
#2 It is suppose to have 3 speeds. It does not! On each setting the fan speed is basically the same!
There is NOT a low, medium, high. All speeds are almost identical! I can tell the fan is NOT balanced and it causes a slight shake when on, which adds to the noise factor.
#3 The LED lights are extremely dim! Very dim! .
#4 The instructions are lacking if you are a novice in installing certain appliances.
#5 The measurements given were precise which made it a great fit for the old Nutone it replaced.
#6 Cost was...inexpensive compared to other replacements, but you get what you paid for.
Would I buy again? Maybe... OR MAYBE NOT!
