As most here have said, when the fridge ice makers go, you need an alternative. I purchased this model and I'm pleased with it. It makes ice really quickly. I only use the large setting so that it keeps drinks cold longer. I wasn't sure about the "bullet" design but they have done the job well. One issue is that when the ice dumps into the bin it's slightly wet. The unit isn't designed to keep the ice it makes frozen, so you need to get it in the freezer right away. Even then when you go to get ice from the freezer it tends to freeze together and you need to break it up which can take a little effort. It's not a big problem and overall I'm happy with this model and would recommend it.

We wanted to create more space in our freezer, as the ice bin takes up quite a bit of space and is also very noisy. This counter top ice maker killed two birds with one ice cube, I mean stone. It is super quiet, until the ice drops, but is still quieter than the refrigerator's freezer, and freed up that space in the freezer. Seems to be built well, and produces ice fairly quickly.

This has worked really well for us. Makes ice in no time. Our kids love the ice that it creates. Only downside is that it fills up quickly - overall basket is pretty small. We like it.

I live off grid with solar panels and my main concern was the electricity draw and longevity of the product. First off, for a machine that makes the amount of ice this little guy does, it is GREAT on electricity. Secondly it is super easy to set up and get started and it only takes about 5-10 minutes to make a batch of ice (about enough to fill a pint glass). I have not yet run it long enough to fill my entire cooler, but I’d say if that was your goal it would probably take about 24 hours of concecutive run time. The ice basket fills up rather quickly and it shuts off automatically when full, so you have to be present to empty it when it is otherwise it it will wait until enough ice has melted to start making more. All In all I think it is a great little ice maker and when i eventually upgrade I’ll be stoked to run it in the bar for drinks when company is over.

Bought it for a primary machine, so it's gotten a workout over the last few months, but it's holding up and works fast enough to fill a standard fridge ice trap in under a day. Only thing I wish was different is the ice is kinda soft and porous, so when it goes into the freezer it has to be broken up shortly after or it's all one big lump, but that might be expected with these countertop machines. Still, 5/5 it does it's job and wasn't a bad price.

Love my ice maker. Everything it claims to be online.. I put a fan on mine it puts out a lot of heat.. just trying to help product last longer.. excellent product and price... I have pics but Amazon won't go past taking it..

For the price I wasn't sure it would be the best. Just a "get what you pay for". BUT, this machine is the best thing I've bought in a while. Makes about a cups worth of ice in 20 minutes. You can have small or large size cubes. And when it's full it can keep the ice cold.

It's a pain to refill, but we wanted to make sure the water was good, so it's worth it. And it's way better then having to fill ice trays and wait so long. We use more ice then it makes so I'm always making sure it's full and the ice isn't triggering the full sensor. I don't think there is a better design but maybe a deeper tray and water holder which I assume would cost more. If I ever have to buy a new one I'll be looking for more ice capacity.

It says ice in 7 minutes but we timed it and that is only if the machine is on and already cooled. If there is not enough water it does shut off and you have to turn it on after you refill it. We forgot that a few times actually.

It makes a little noise. You can hear the water flowing when the water is low. And it makes a motor noise when the water is out. The only load noise it makes is when the ice drops down and is pushed into the basket.

Small size is perfect for crunching. Large you can crunch if you let it sit in a drink first.

Over all it's a good quality machine and we always have ice on hand.
