Size works well on countertop. After receiving we set it upright for 2 hours per instructions before using. Works well and quickly. Best to start it when present in kitchen working on other things. It produces quickly and the basket must be emptied--no problem if you are nearby anyway. Frequent emptying is the "price" paid for the small, compact size. We do like the results and it's easily moveable from place to place inside or out to have fresh cubes handy.

I bought this for my son to use since there is no easy way to get a water line to the refrigerator in his duplex. He loves it. It makes ice very quickly. If you are not using it all and you have room you can also just fill up a bowl with the ice and keep some extra in your freezer for parties.

Works good, but not much ice. I would say it's not for a family. My wife and I use it ok. But it'll be good for when we go camping. We have a bag we fill. Just have to keep up with it. But it does make ice fairly fast.

This is so much better than buying a bag of ice or an ice tray. I could leave it on all night and it creates nice cold ice non stop. It never runs out of batteries because there is none. I had this ice maker now for a whole year in a half never shutting it off and it still works. This is the best thing I believe is going to replace buying ice from the markets or buying ice trays where you would have to fill up and wait to freeze up in order to enjoy after waiting awhile and once you wait it's not enough to last. With this baby it comes out quickly and throughout the night and yes I do have to put a half a cup of water in it from time to time but as soon as I do, the ice comes immediately and fills up quickly. I really love my ice maker machine and I didn't have to pay an arm and a leg for it. The cost was cheap and affordable.

This ice maker really will give u several pounds of ice within 24 hrs!!! In less than 5 hrs, we had filled our ice tray in the freezer. I'm so happy with this purchase!! We live in South Florida and got a water filter attached to the sink; however, the water rarely gets cold, so this ice maker is very convenient. The ice cubes will melt if you don't move them to the freezer when they're done bc as other reviews have stated: this is an ice MAKER not a freezer. It's not meant to store your ice cubes, so if you're looking for a product that does that, look elsewhere. BUT, if you're looking for perfectly crisp bullet ice cubes made within mins, GET THIS RIGHT NOW. Also, saw ppl mention the cube size changing thing the manual mentions, and I don't even think that's a feature applicable to this machine. I don't even understand why it's included in the manual as if it's a viable option. I like the little basket and scoop it comes with. Makes it very easy to transfer the ice to the freezer! We keep our scoop in our freezer's ice box bc there's no handle or anything on the ice maker. Plus, like I said, this is an ice MAKER, not a freezer. Oh yeah, not sure why other ppl included this, but the flavor of the ice is dependent on the water you use just as with plain ice trays. I use filtered tap water and I live in South Florida. My ice cubes taste great! Very fresh and clean tasting.

I have this in my classroom and it makes as much as I use! About every 6 min it makes enough for a glass!
Easy to fill, and pretty quiet for the classroom. Comes with a scoop and the basket for the ice.
Ill bring it home once school is out- it will be perfect on the counter and help supplement my freezer ice trays!

I love this little ice maker, it's perfect for someone who lives in an apt. with a refrigerator that doesn't have an ice maker, I have it on a shelf and keep it on all the time, it's so nice to have ice whenever I need it and living in the San Joaquin Valley in California where it gets unbearably hot in the summer, you need ice, good value well made, and I love the self cleaning feature, would recommend this seller and will buy from this seller again.
