Great ice machine since I don't have a large enough refrigerator or ice maker installed. My husband loves it. Works great and very efficient. Sits on the counter and only takes minimal space. Only use distilled water or filtered water. Not recommended to use water from the faucet. Excellent purchase.

Amazing, except...

I mean its great! Really, it is.
Makes ice pretty quick, think its like 8 min? Maybe less.
Makes sound to! I mean, louder than the dishwasher loud. Its great, if you are into that late at night.

So my wife got this and its perfect for her. The real issue is that this thing has no way to keep the ice cold. So you can make a full "basket" of ice. The water level will drop and it will auto-shutdown. Great, until the ice melts and the water level is back up ... and then "GrRrrrRRrrRRRrrrr!" Hate this loud A machine. Makes ice, drains water, ice melts..... cycle cycle. The ice melts pretty quick and refreezes in the freezer making big ice blocks. Can i count the bashing of the ice to break it apart part of the noise the machine makes... or just causes?

I am an ice snob, I love it, I need it. Unfortunately the universe has decided I should never be blessed with a fridge with an operable ice machine. I’ve been through 4 fridges and not one time has my ice machine actually worked. It’s a cosmic joke at this point. I bought bagged ice but my husband always stole it for his cooler. After pondering throwing hands a couple times I decided to treat myself, avoid the charge and purchase an ice machine.

I would not call it sturdy ice. It does not last very long, melts pretty quick and easy. The basket is not terribly large so you are getting enough for two glasses before needing to wait for it to refresh. It works pretty quick so that’s not terrible. And it’s easy to clean. I’d say good for camping or mild/moderate use

Purchased this ice maker. When son tried it while away at college item did not work. When he finally was able to bring it back home it was out of the Amazon return time window. Contacted Amazon who then connected me with the maker of ice machine. After a quick response after each time contacting company and trying 3 things recommended by company it was determined the ice maker was defective. They offered sending out a new product and it arrived in about 5 days. New ice maker works great and the price was great. Would purchase product again, especially with the awesome customer service. Thank you to this company for providing such awesome customer service, rare thing to find these days.

Fast output, a bit noisy, sometimes wet cubes

For the money, this machine is a great buy. We have been using a Berkey to filter water and needed this to make ice from that filtered water. It has super fast output, giving us plenty of ice quickly. It's easy to use and doesn't take up a lot of room. It is noisy, however. Even after more than a month of use, it's still hard to get used to the noise it makes. Perhaps I'm oversensitive but that's my take. The only other negative is that the cubes produced are wet and often clump together in a big glob of ice. I like to transfer ice into my refrigerator's ice dispenser and because these are so wet, they clump together there, too. I'd give this 3.5 stars due to price and speed as pros and noise and wetness of cubes as cons.
