Since I really enjoy the ice from Chick-fil-A and Sonic, I was thrilled to find a nugget ice maker that claimed to make the same small, chewable ice at home. Not only did the ice maker meet my needs, it went above and beyond them. I recently put this ice maker to the ultimate test at a garage sale my family and I held. Even when I went inside for a break on that very hot day, there was a machine full of perfectly made tiny ice ready to cool my Coke. It saved my life! It was easy to set up the ice machine. It is easy to use the touch-screen interface, and the self-cleaning feature makes upkeep simple. The first batch of ice was ready in about 20 minutes. The machine kept up with demand all day, making up to 40 pounds of ice in 24 hours. Like I said, the ice is soft and edible, just like the ice at my favorite fast food places. It works great for everything, from making drinks better to cooling down sodas. It's a big hit with my family and friends who come over. The machine is sleek and small, so it fits perfectly on our kitchen counter without taking up too much room. The front ice drawer is great because it lets you get to the ice without having to lift the lid. The noise is a small problem, but it's not too loud to be a big problem. The price is small compared to how good the ice is and how useful it is. Overall, this nugget ice maker is a great buy for anyone who likes nugget ice. It has completely changed our kitchen and made it more fun to host events. And if you like ice as much as I do, you need this machine! Very strongly suggested!

UPDATE: After 3 months this icemaker just quit working. We cleaned it and when we plugged it back in it started screeching. I'm super disappointed.

This ice maker is the perfect size and makes wonderful ice! It came just as expected. I love chewing on ice and it keeps up with all the ice that my family and I use. The only thing negative I would say is that it is a little noisy when the ice is making, so I ended up putting it in my pantry so I didn't have to hear that. Other than that, it has been great investment!

This ice maker makes beautiful, soft, crunchy ice. The ice does come out wet but after a bit it is dry. I just love the ice that it makes.
I bought this unit in April. By the middle of June it started making a loud noise and soon stopped making ice.
I contacted customer service, and they asked me some info about where and when I bought it. They also asked me to send them a short video of the noise it was making so they could send it to their engineering team.
After a few weeks I contacted them again asking what they were going to do about the defective product. They told me that they were going to send me a new unit and I didn't even need to return the old one. I received a brand-new ice maker today via USPS.
I would have given this product 5-stars for the ice that it made but since it broke, I would drop that to 3-stars. Because of the excellent customer service, I'm upping that to 4-stars.
I hope this one continues to work like it should.

This ice maker makes the perfect ice. It’s like Sonic’s ice. It is very fast. Also very quiet. It is self cleaning. The only drawback that I have found is the ice melts in the drawer faster than I thought it would.

We bought the ice maker a couple weeks ago but received it damaged, it was liking from the bottom. We really like it so we decided to return it and reorder a new one. Two days after we received the second one and it was damaged too, this time the lid was broken. We were very disappointed but decided to give it a last chance and contact keenstar customer service. I sent them an email and they answer very quick. They were very polite and kind, they apologized and offered to send us a new one at no cost.
The new one arrived today and we love it, the design is very nice, it works perfectly, it’s not noisy, it has self cleaning, the size of the ice is just perfect and takes around 20 mins to make ice. It also has light.

I loved this little matching right out of the box. It makes tiny ice cubes and it makes a ton of them. It’s loud but I have chemo damage from years ago and my esophagus is always on fire, so I have developed a serious ice addiction and this is/was perfect. The motor noise was something I could live with.

I’ve had it less than a month, though, and it now makes an intermittent shrill and VERY LOUD squeaking sound. It’s so loud that I can hear it from the other room, and I now need to shut off the machine at night because it awakens me. And I suspect it’s going to quit working very, very soon. Sadly, I cannot recommend this machine at all.

I had high hope for this one. We love the size, shape and front ice drawer. Sadly, it is a very loud machine. We expected fan noise as we’ve had an ice maker before. What we didn’t expect was the buzzing and squealing sound from the fan/motor. We tried an exchange to see if maybe it was a fluke but the second one received is just as noisy. It makes great ice but it is just too loud so we will be returning both. Something to note: the directions say to not place it on its side but it was shipped in a box that had it sideways.

When I was looking for an icemaker there were so many out there. I read many reviews, and decided on this one. We love this icemaker it is a very quiet ice maker and it makes great hospital ice???? my grandkids come over all the time and ask for just a couple of ice, it is not teeth breaking. My one tip would be is that once the ice is done being made I put it in a gallon Ziploc bag and let it freeze. Then I pull it out and just give it a few taps to break it up and then put it back in a container in my freezer. If you just put it in the container it will freeze together and you have to chop it Up. But that will save you a lot of trouble. Also I already cleaned it and it was very simple to do.
