Handsome grill hood vent

We installed this 36" 900 cfm vent for our outdoor grill to help remove smoke on our lanai. We used angle irons as a support system to hang this wall mount hood vent. It's sturdy, no rattling and has a good draft. Somewhat noisy at highest level but favorable to fire alarms in house. All in all we love the vent hood, the hand operations are easy and lights are bright for night time use.

I like the look and the way to operate it is simple. Has pretty good suction but is noisier then I expected. I was expecting the noise this hood makes at the first speed to be the noise made by the 3rd or 4th speed. You can't have a normal conversation in the kitchen with this thing even at the first speed.

I bought this to replace a different brand that I bought on Amazon and it only lasted a little over a year. The IKTCH Wall Mount Range Hood 30 inch Gesture Sensing & Touch Control Switch Panel Kitchen Vent Hood is the best I have owned or seen in stores. It is very well packaged and arrived on time and without any damage. It is so easy to install and when installed is solid. The brackets keep it tight and nothing rattles. I like the width of the exhaust vent, it is wider than what I had and looks so much better. You have the ability to make this as high as you want as it's two pieces that slide into each other. These have a channel so they do not rattle and it stays solid. Also it is thicker than what I previously had and cleans up nicely. This has a standard 3 prong plug so you just need an outlet. Once installed, it is so easy to use and so far is working perfectly for me. If you want to turn the light on and start the fan on low speed, you swipe your hand from left to right. Remember you need to swipe past both sensors for it to work, as you can see in my video. Then swiping again to get to the different speeds. The fan is powerful but not too loud which I like. Plus it has a timer that starts at 3 minutes and can go up to 15 minutes. Having the motion sensors are nice because of your hands are dirty or greasy, you wont get the control panel dirty. The lights are very bright, again you can see in my video how they light up the whole stove area and even parts of my countertop. It has comes with a remote control which I had no issues with. There is a charcoal grill cover for the motor which helps with eliminating odors when the fan is on. I like this since I didn't vent it directly out. You do have that choice and they also include the hose and accessories you would need for a direct vent. I didn't get that with the other brand, so this is a plus also. The stainless steel baffle grease grills are solid and so easy to remove, wash and put back in. You just need to put them into your dishwasher. The other thing I really like is the warranty. My other hood had a one year warranty. The iKTCH has a 10 year warranty on the motor and a 5 year warranty on the control panel and lights. That to me is a huge selling point and shows the quality of the unit. I made the video so you could see how it looks installed, how solid and well made it is and how well it works. I am extremely happy with this and highly recommend it.

First time having a range hood and love it!

I went with this as I think it looks really nice and it does in our newly remodeled kitchen. It was super easy to install, especially in a ventless setting.

Tonight was the first time I was able to sear a steak on the stove top without setting of the smoke alarm. I had the strength at 2 (of 4) and it did a great job at silencing my very sensitive Nest smoke alarm. I can't wait to push the limits.

Like others mentioned, the waving function to control the fan is quite sensitive, however, ever since installing it, I have not had any false alarms. While I was installing it, though, it was pretty much constant and had me very concerned. I'm glad I did not disable it before even trying it out.

One thing to note is to make sure you plug it in and test the fan before putting it on the wall. Sometimes the fan may get stuck - you will want to look at that before finishing the install.

Support was great. I had a small issue that they resolved graciously and expeditiously.

The fan is a bit louder than I expected, but it is not offensive. I haven't really had it to full speed, so that has helped with the noise.

Overall, I highly recommend this if you are looking for a stylish and well functioning range hood exhaust fan.

Nowhere near 900 CFM!

To sum it up this range hood is nowhere near the advertised 900 cfm, it’s more in the 300 range. We set it at Max and placed a single sheet of lose leaf paper under it and it stuck it about 3 inches away from the intake; barely any suction.
We had one of those “under cabinet” one’s that was 300 CFM. Comparing the two, can’t tell any difference in pull. Besides that, it’s very good quality and it looks amazing. Also the noise level is very low. I wonder if it was really pumping 900 CFM Will it sound this low?
I was reading other reviews on here, I couldn’t believe how they believe the suction is good SMH, probably don’t have a clue about CFM. I took out my leaf blower that pumps out 280 CFM so my wife would have an idea and she was shocked. She told me that the hoods suction had to be less than the leaf blower.
I was generous with the 3 stars mainly because the only negative part about the hood was (probably the most important part) the advertised suction power which is very bad. One last thing which is minimal is the fact the display showed a “clock” but there’s no way to set it up, just the timer works.
