Excellent Brand and Excellent Cup

I wanted something easier to carry around and that keeps my water cold while taking care of and nursing a newborn all day. Honestly I wanted to buy a cheaper cup from another brand but the reviews just aren’t as good and I’ve seen these in person before. Plus, I have the big traditional green Stanley bottle and it’s tried and true. I went with 30oz since the 40oz I’ve seen in person just seemed too big and heavy to carry around all day, especially with baby. Average coffee cup for scale.

Pros-
-30oz is still a ton of water and I don’t feel like I can knock it over as easily as I would the 40oz. Not as top heavy as it looks and the base us fairly stable even with pout buying a separate silicon grip.
-Color looks amazing, just like the pictures.
-Keeps my water colder longer! I have to fill this up half as much as other smaller cups I have and now it’s not room temperature when I forget about it for awhile.
-Holds cold AND hot beverages, with an option for a straw or the more traditional hot tumbler open/close lid
-Straw is thicker than Starbucks cups straws, like halfway to a boba straw. I love that I can drink a bunch easily
-Washed up perfectly in the dishwasher

Cons-
-Mine did come with a small scuff (ended up finally rubbing off after a couple days) on the lid and I think it was from delivery. It sounded like it was thrown and hit my door when it was dropped off yikes, as it was packaged in a plastic delivery bag with no bubble wrap or other packaging around it. Thankfully the straw wasn’t broken or anything
-Not really a con for me but obviously if you turn it too far sideways or upside down it WILL leak. Don’t throw it in a bag or anything

This Stanley cup is great! It is double insulated so it will keep your drink hot or cold for several hours. The handle is a great size to fit four fingers through to allow the best grip. The lid and straw are almost spill-proof, of course you can have a little leakage around the straw hole and straw.

I dont write many reviews. And definitely don’t include photos. But I had to, because photos help me decide on something. Really this cup is awesome and worth the extra price tag. Color was the hardest decision honestly. And I couldn’t find photos that were clear about the top of the cup and how it worked. So I included those. If you just use the straw like I do, you wont ever use the the twist part on top. It’s easy though it just turns like a handle. So you can sip instead of use a straw. I love all the straw toppers that they have on amazon, really inexpensive and they add a lot of fun to the cup! They keep your straw clean, and the drink colder! So they are for function as well. I got a 4 pack of “bumpers” for the bottom in a pretty tie dye pattern. I wasn’t sold on the lemon yellow color til I saw it. It is bright and happy and definitely makes me drink more water regularly because I see the happy cup sitting there. I like the size as well. For those of you thinking about 30 or 40 oz. I bought the 40, for home use, it’s heavy a bit, with some ice and full. But not if your sitting with it…..and then you dont have to get refills so often. The 30 oz is great for on the go. So I have both. This one posted in photos is the 40 oz. I couldn’t be happier with a tumbler than I am with this one. Wont buy another brand but Stanley now. They are luxurious!

I'm not just here for the hype.

After reading reviews, I was terrified I was going to receive a dupe product instead of an official Stanley tumbler. I not only have sought after a quality large tumbler to help my water intake regularly, but the name Stanley has personal meaning to me as well, though I won't delve into how here. The tumbler I received is 100% genuine. I checked the screws in the handle, handle location, and the small inner logo at the bottom of the inside. Thrilled, I went ahead and decorated it (Cream 2.0 Color) with accessories I purchased separately to go with it. I seriously couldn't be happier. It's so beautiful and stands out so well in a way my old tumbler did not. It keeps my water COLD with ice. Due to standing out, I'm less likely to forget to drink water as I typically do, because I'll be constantly finding myself admiring the aesthetics, which will remind me. (I'm ADHD and this is a thing for me.)

The straw is wider open than other straws I'm used to but I actually love that, for uninterrupted liquid flow as well as practical use cases. I did purchase some other straws to try out with it, but loved the original straw so much that I've decided to just stick with that for now. The handle has such a smooth, silky feel to it, with a wonderful grip that makes holding it oh so comfortable. I already had been using a 40 oz tumbler prior to this, for several months, so I'm used to the heft with and without liquid/ice/etc inside. I don't plan on using it for heated beverages, just water/water flavorings, so I can't speak to the efficacy of its warmth mechanism(s). The lid screws on perfectly tightly and the straw to open middle part requires a good bit of force to turn, meaning there won't be any accidental shifts to worry about just casually bumping into it or carrying it around. The construction overall is extremely sturdy.

Even if it wasn't hyped, even if it suddenly became the world's worst/most hated cup of all time come tomorrow morning, this is a fantastic product I am already thoroughly enjoying and will continue to do so for as long as it will last me, hopefully years to come. Order one if you want to be temporarily considered 'cool' or whatever, sure, but definitely order one if you want a quality beverage companion at your side at all times that actually lives up to its reputation.

My big Dumb Cup

I have had Stanley products for over 50 years. My old cup still works great. It’s just smaller and no carry handle. I studied all the hype about the lead in the bottom seal hole. It’s never been an issue. It’s doesn’t touch anything inside and it’s coated on the outside. Non Issue. That said I hope they change the design to ease people’s fears. The review title is after the SNL skit on these cups. Mine have nicknames and this one was named after the skit. My other is simply called Stanley. It keeps my water cold all day. It doesn’t leak around the straw with the new seal design. Because of the capacity it can get a little heavy when full. I really like the color and appearance. They are very durable. Recommend!
