I did a Mavis Beacon program when I was in middle school so when I my elementary school kids started school, I got this to have them learn and practice. They love the games and follow along great!

This was a gift for a grandchild and wouldn't install correctly on a computer that was purchased this year (2023). It would install but would not show a full screen (right side missing) and would not advance beyond logging in.

I hoped to find a program that all of my kids, ages 7-13, could use and enjoy. I worried that it would either be too dry for the younger, or too babyish for the older. My 13 year old says this program is a little on the childish side, but he enjoys the format and finds it easy to follow. My younger love it so much that they ask to do lessons in their free time.
My only complaint is that the transition between levels can be confusing. The beginning of a lesson often looks like they didn't pass the previous one SMH are being directed back to tht beginning of the lesson they just passed. I get a lot of complaints from my kids saying that they are being led in circles with the software.

It looks like any other standard typing program. But I do like the fact that it shows you a set of hands on a keyboard on the actual screen so that your child can follow along better. The only problem I'm having is my keyboard. This is clearly for an adult and I will need a smaller keyboard in order to get my child to really work on this. That's been her only complaint, that she can't get to the keys. So outside of that, it's good, boring, but good.

I wanted to teach my kids how to type properly on the keyboard. This program is great but the lessons move too fast for the age group, my kids are 7 and 9.

I like the program BUT it didn't come with the user guide (that feature doesn't work) and the user guide is necessary my student to do their lessons. That makes me not happy! BUT the program is cool and student really likes it. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I NEED that user guide.
