Brought the product to control the smoke when cooking on my grill. Controls the smoke in the air and filters nicely. Pretty quite. Highly recommend for outdoor grilling and cooking.

I purchased the fan as a temporary solution before I could design and build the range hood. I was pleasantly surprised at its performance. The fan sucks up most of the smoke and smells and seemingly all of the airborne grease and it's not incredibly loud either. Easy to set up and clean. They included 10 replacement filters but it seems like you could just wash the filter regularly and replace when absolutely needed. I put two filters on if cooking with a grease screen just in case; probably a bit of overkill but the filters seem like they will last a while if cleaned often.

Some fans are not recommended for gas ranges but this one seems to have no problem with it.

After the hood is built I will most likely use the fan for exhausting when painting/staining and soldering/plumbing.

I like the exhaust fan; works great for removing removing steam when boiling pasta and/or vegetables on the stove top. One complaint; it’s loud; but for 12 or so minutes, it is worth the noise. Easy to position for the suction to capture the steam. The exhaust fan protects my cabinets from moisture.

First, this is built like a tank. High quality steel construction. The activated carbon filter helps but mostly it traps grease which drips down. I put a small paper towel or tuna can under it after done cooking to catch grease. It does dilute the smoke but the solution to pollution is not dilution if you have smoke detectors. SOLUTION: I just put the fan near the pan I am cooking in and aim the output to the stove hood which is on high. With this answer I have not set off the fire alarm. Without this answer, the room slowly fills with smoke, even with the stove hood on high, and sets off the alarm.

The media could not be loaded.
 Not as loud as the normal kitchen hood and does job really well. You just need to place it REALLY CLOSE to the pan and have it on some type of heat resistant boxes to be tall enough to suck the smoke in. Quit a hassle to set up honestly. Also NO ON/OFF BUTTON. You will need to pull the pluck when taking a break.
