I rarely ever write reviews for anything cause i just don't have the time, but iKTCH's product support has impressed me so much that I've got to add my two cents here. I bought this range hood a little over 2 years ago and installed it myself above a new 36" 5-burner gas range while remodeling my kitchen. The kitchen originally had a down-draft vent that didn't work well so I custom built the walnut hood cover to fit this new range vent. Since I didn't have an existing hood, I can't say how easily this unit would fit/swap if you do have an existing hood, but it was easy enough to install as new. We cook on the gas range almost every day and it never has a problem quickly venting even the strongest cooking odors like frying fish or searing steak. Its easy to clean, powerful, adjustable, and the remote and motion controls work great. It has worked great for the last 2 years! Until last weekend....when it wouldn't turn on, and this is the most important part of my review. Any company can build a product that works great, but how a company supports their product when you have an issue is what builds their reputation and earns my repeat business. I immediately emailed the seller via the link in my Amazon order history and described the problem. Because they're based in China, the email I sent to iKTCH support was received at 3am Chinese time. Not even (7) hours later, I received a response asking a question about the symptoms and offering to ship me a replacement part at no cost. I replied and provided my address, they shipped the part, and since they keep stock at an Amazon warehouse close to me, I received it the next day. I installed the part the next day, which took a screw driver and about 15 minutes, but unfortunately it didn't fix the issue. I replied and let them know, and they immediately shipped another part for free that I received the next day. Now everything is working great again! Through the whole process, I was corresponding on one email thread with the same person, Mary, who was very courteous and responsive. If you've ever had to deal with another company that requires you to call in, sit on hold, "create a service ticket", and do that all over again with a new person to explain everything to them over and over, it really makes you appreciate how fast and easy it is to correspond with iKTCH support. Let alone the fact that despite being out of the stated warranty period, they quickly sent me parts at no cost. I've spent more money on on products from well-known brands and have not nearly received this level of commitment from them to support their products. Simply because they stand behind their products when an issue arises, I would highly recommend iKTCH to anyone.
