Iron-on letter patches have a layer of plastic backing with a thin layer of heat-activated glue rubbed on them that you can iron immediately.

Two Methods of Use

If you have an iron at home, you can use ironing. If not, sew the patch directly.

How to Use Embroidered Letter Patches

1. Set the iron to a temperature suitable for ironing and preheat (usually 300°F or 150°C); turn off the iron's steam mode and keep the back of the patch dry before use.

2. To prevent heat damage to the embroidered patch, cover the patch with a cloth or towel.

3. Place the iron on the cotton covered letter patch and iron back and forth for 30-50 seconds, pressing back and forth several times.

4. Then turn to the other side and iron the letter patch for 20-30 seconds to fully heat up the adhesive backing of the patch.

5. After waiting for the patch to cool, check it, repeat the steps above for any areas that were not ironed.

These letters were so easy to use for my son's costume for theater. I chose not to iron them on but to hot glue gun them and they worked perfectly. I don't have a review for the hot iron but if you're looking for a quick way to do it hot glue works great on fabric.

Great quality, random letters

The letters are a high quality product. They iron on well and look great which should have given them five stars. I problem is the letters are very random. I got two packages. The first package had no T’s, only two I’s and one A. The second package had only two A’s, two L’s and two I’s. So this meant I had to get to more packages to finish my project. Would seem there should be more vowels as those are so frequently used. But as I said the quality is very good so I ordered two more packages.

Missing letters and no instructions

The letters a capitals in cursive which are lovely, but there are not only letters missing (A, i, Z,) but there are no instructions. I would love the missing letters sent to me as well as the instructions on application. The most confusing part is included in the bag was needle and thread. I hope I don’t need needle or thread considering the bag says iron on patches so super confused.

I made some very cute pillow cases for my friend's girls and wanted to put their names on them so I ordered these letters. They are very cute but they were not gluing to the fabric no matter how long I was leaving the iron on the letters.
