These filters work just fine and install the same as the factory OEM units. I personally feel that the installation method for even the OEM filters seems a little "seat of the pants" and it's hard to tell if the install is done just right. These filters have the same kind of feel installing.
Overall, a pretty good choice and a lot less expensive than the factory unit. Because this new refrigerator is in our 2nd, Florida house, I think we burn through them with the passage of time rather than the amount of water they actually filter. If we lived all the time in Florida, then maybe it wouldn't seem like such over-kill for the usage. Oh well, you have to use these things or your ice and water chiller won't work anymore!
