"Birds and Blooms" is about planting flowers that attract birds and butterflies to your backyard. It's mostly about looking at the pictures, which are really outstanding, but the brief articles give useful tips on selecting and caring for plants, setting up bird feeders, and travel to special sites. It's very well done.

5.0 out of 5 stars UPDATE: Love this magazine so much that I now gift others with subscriptions!

I am a new subscriber to Blooms subscription and am already in love with this incredible magazine! Its articles are helpful and interesting. From cover to cover, the glorious pictures make me feel that I am on a wonderful a mini-vacation.

There seems to be such a lack of good news these days so I decided to subscribe to B&B as an antidote to "reality" news. Birds&Blooms helps me see and appreciate the glorious reality beyond my front door with much greater pleasure.

4.0 out of 5 stars Kindle Review -- visually lovely, can zoom page text sizes, okay for 7 inch screen

I've decided I prefer paper version but I like having at least a mix of five or six magazines on my Kindle reader for when I travel. This was the best visually of the bunch that I selected. I was already familiar with the magazine as one of my neighbors subscribes to it and gives away her extra copies :) so happy day to see it on Kindle lists

PROS colorful photos of birds and flowers -- visually enjoyable

CONS don't plan to really read the articles without zooming them but that is okay for what I needed it for

GOOD OPTION for KINDLE for when you travel

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for reading articles online

I like that the magazine is available online. Enjoyable to read it on my tablet and it is full of information about birds and gardening. Some one mentioned that there are a lot of ads and that is a fact but does not distract from the magazine as a whole.

5.0 out of 5 stars works well on Kindle Fire tablet

I get Birds and Blooms as a digital subscription on my Kindle Fire 10" tablet. So far, I have been getting it this way for about a year (previously I was buying the paper magazine). It has worked out well. Less paper to clutter my house, easy to read, nice articles about birds/butterflies/flowers. I renewed the subscription for another year.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of my favorite magazines

I have subscribed to Birds and Bloom Magazine (published 6 times a year), and the newer version, published on alternate months, for many years.

The pix are beautiful, the gardening/birding advise excellent. Too nice to throw away (recycle), when I've finished reading. I therefore have a large stack of magazines sitting in baskets, ready to re-read some day. Or some are donated to Dr. office or Nursing homes - I can't bear to just toss them.

Having an e-version is very appealing - I can read each issue, and not have to find a place to store it - it's on my Kindle Fire - ready to read again.

If you've never experienced this great magazine - give it a try. If you're a gardener or love birds, you may fall in love.

5.0 out of 5 stars New to bird awareness

I purchased the subscription to learn how to attract and support birds in my backyard. I was pleased with the magazine because it contained many pictures of various birds for identification when viewing in the yard. I plan to create a bird friendly environment in the yard. The first articles on Cardinals were informative.
