    Recently replaced my bedroom TV. Unfortunately, it only had HDMI eARC connection so could no longer use my old Bose with the optical connector. The TV had a decent pic but the sound quality was definitely lacking, so I replaced my soundbar with this newer Bose because it had the right hook up. From out of the box to complete set up took less than 10 minutes. My TV automatically switched to the soundbar and the improvement was night and day. Love the rich clear sound of Bose. Dialog is easy to understand regardless of background noise and you can adjust the bass to your preference. It’s got a sleek compact design that integrates with the TV perfectly. Great value for the money.

    I connected this with HDMI ARC so that I can use my Apple TV remote to change the sound. It works really well and was simple to setup. When I tried the optical cable, my Apple TV remote did not change the sound. I have a Vizio TV.

    I cannot say more than this is a typical Bose product that you will receive. High quality, great sound clarity, no big volume adjustments show vs. commercials (we all know this feeling.) It's a good solid product for what you pay and you don't get more than that. Bass is okay on this item. The selling point for mw was the clarity of the bar. Our previous bar was terrible with audio in the show vs. commercials. The commercial volume ran about 10 levels higher than the show volume. This has not happened with this unit. I think we'd all like a little more low end from Bose, but we all know what we get in purchasing Bose. I just personally don't want to by a separate bass module. Big fan of Bose products and have been using for years. he most I can say is that this is consistent high quality as other Bose products. My 2 cents

    Debated on getting a JBL system that came with a subwoofer for the same price. Decided against it and not disappointed! Crisp sound, way better than the TV speakers. Didn’t realize how bad the TV speakers were until I hooked this up and switched from the sound bar back to the TV to compare. Night and day difference! Bass is still controllable on the remote it comes with and even in our big room the bass comes through fantastic without the real estate taken up by a subwoofer.

    Delivers 5.1 like sound from a single unit which is crazy. Little background noises come in clear and sometimes I actually think the sound is coming from something in the house and not the speaker.

    Overall quality you’d expect out of Bose.

    Definitely happy with this and highly recommend.

    This Bose TV Speaker has pretty good sound quality for the tv because it does sound better than the tv speakers and better volume and the speech is a little clearer, but that's about as far as it goes.
    I purchased this sound bar after looking at many, but mostly because I have been a Bose fan for many decades and in the days of them becoming to where they are now everything was exceptional until I received this product.
    Bose dropped the ball on this one and seem to be living now off their name of top-quality products and service in the past and you know what starts to happen when you cut back on the quality, you start to lose your long time customers and no repurchase's from most new ones so business starts to decline, and we all know what has happened to big companies in the past. You charge high dollars so put back in the quality you use too.
    For two days I have been trying to get a simple question answered from them and no response.
    After purchasing this product, I have come to realize the only subwoofer I can add to this sound bar which has poor bass, is programed only for their brand, and their cheapest woofer starting at $500.00 plus, that is ridicules.
    The Bluetooth is version is 4.2, that came out around 2011 or 12 so outdated, much cheaper brands even have the newer versions, heck the remote is not even Bluetooth! You have to make sure no other devices have Bluetooth on to connect to a single device you want par and listen two, a lot of others allow two at once so you can switch back and forth.
    There is absolutely no way to turn on or control the sound bar if you lose the remote, battery goes bad or if the remote goes bad, but we all know that does not happen now does it?
    For a 300-dollar soundbar especially from Bose I expected more, half was for the name and the other half for the actual worth of the unit and to get more bass I need to spend over $500.00 more when other top brand units come with a sound bar for under $300.00. I should be able to connect other subwoofer brands to this unit but from all my checking only a couple of people have gotten lucky, I have two and neither one will work with this unit when I connected them, so It's kind of like I gotcha from Bose if you want to upgrade your sound bar for $500.00 plus more to Bose.
    Yes, looks like this one is going back to Bose.

    Update: I decided to keep the speaker even as disappointed as I am with this so outdated speaker and mine was made in 2023 and then 28 days after using it just stopped working after being on for about a hour and a half, it only blinks the two lights white 3 times and turns the tv side light green and does this over and over again and will not turn off unless you unplug it, plug it back up and light off a couple of minutes then automatically turns back on and starts the same process over and over, So much for quality Bose I did not even get a months' worth of use and thank goodness I had two days left to return, never again for me Bose. Service is nonexistent never got a answer for a simple question I sent earlier so just imagine how it is with a real problem.

    This Bose speaker is phenomenal! I had no idea what sounds I was missing using only the TV's built-in speakers. It was quick and easy to set up; plug in the included power cable, connect the included sound cable (Optical in only - no HDMI cable included), and turn it on. That's it! I was worried that my older TV wouldn't work with it, but that wasn't the case. After setting up the speaker, I watched a suspenseful movie that I've seen numerous times in the past, and the creepy sounds kept scaring me. It was like I was listening to a totally different movie! I would highly recommend this speaker, and I plan to purchase another one for a second TV in the house.

    I've been using this speaker for nearly 2 years now, and I have no complaints! Love the Bluetooth connectivity, I can stream Spotify throughout the day with much better sound quality than portable Bluetooth speakers. The bass provides a perfect enhancement to movies and TV while remaining clear. I definitely recommend!
