5.0 out of 5 stars Better than my first bass!
Reviewed in the United States on October 14, 2020
This is my second bass guitar, however I have been a drummer for over 15 years. That being said I believe this is a great starting point for someone looking to seriously get into playing bass. My first bass was second hand had a LOT of fret buzz and dirt on the channel...
however I pleased to say that is not the issue with this bass. The action is great out of the box. The signal is very clean (very low sound floor) and paired with a decent amp sounds great.
Compared to my first bass I bought second hand for $300 this blows it out of the water. I wouldn’t play my first bass on stage anywhere. But I would rock this Stealth bass anywhere!
    Great bass for the money.

Only thing is that I like the sound of jazz basses.. This Is Not That!
Expect more of a deep aggressive sound. Which can be adjusted accordingly to some degree. Is is a little more on the heavier side which for me is not an issue (your mileage may vary).

5.0 out of 5 stars Really stellar instrument at the price point
Reviewed in the United States on January 26, 2021
I had not owned or even really been aware of Schecter as a brand I might love until I was in the market for a new bass and they were in just about every comparison review I looked in at the roughly $500 price point. I'd seen the name attached to a bunch of lovely shred machines but just hadn't delved into their basses, and I'm very glad I did.

For context, this is purely a hobby instrument, I'm not gigging these days, though that said this is an instrument I certainly would have road tested back when I was subjecting instruments to the grinder that is the college/small bar music scene.

The neck, to me, feels just a bit on the wide side of things, the nut width is very standard so it may just be that the neck shape may just be a small bit thicker than the bass it replaced. That said the satin finish is excellent and my thumb glides on it with ease. I haven't hit any fret edges. Just in general the quality of the build is excellent and excluding a fancy top or finish the build is about as good as I would expect of basses going up to about the $1,000 mark.

The electronics are certainly not the best you could get, but without spending as much on a new preamp and pickups as this whole instrument itself (or more) they do an excellent job. I don't play with the 2 band EQ much, but both treble and bass EQ do the jobs they're supposed to.
The two pickup positions and blend each have their own tonal sweet spots and I've had fun with everything from Primus, Marcus Miller, NIN, to ye olde 12 bar blues all play just fine.

Overall a really excellent 5-string that I don't see myself moving away from any time soon.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not for small hands
Reviewed in the United States on June 21, 2024
I had to get used to the frets being a little more spaced out compared to my other bass guitars but the notation is solid and crisp. The sound and very versatile, being able to get a more muted relaxed sound or a bit more of a brighter sound (the nobs are very nice and give it a good range of sound IMO) The smaller body makes the guitar overall lighter and easier to handle and work with for longer periods. The saddles are very easy to adjust, but I'd say the tuning pegs are probably the weakest part of the guitar. They are a bit looser than I'd like and they quite frequently tune up or down on their own in my hard case that I have it in. Other than that, totally worth the money.

Great sound awesome feel, be warned you may have to adjust the tension rod and bridge a bit I had a lot of drag and had to make adjustments. After setting it up it had a great and amazing sound and feel.
